Suggestion from a server hopper

The only problem with this is some people like to play with friends.

 

Maybe this could work, with the only way to switch servers is to somehow "join a friend" through steam.

 

We have the internetz...they should decide beforehand where they want to play. With so many people i'm sure they have already found a stable server by then.

they should not promote Loot farming at all. Rather have a bigger timer. 5 or 10 minutes if you log in, are there for 5 mins and switch.

 

yes i understand its very hard to find loot at military bases, been there done that. So go deeper in the map ? theres a airfield if you go realyl deep. aswell as on the right side of the map.

True, but friends would generally be on at the same time and chat using skype, TS, raidcall or something before they log in so picking a server together wouldnt be difficult  and the Join a Friend is there for the late comers. Its only a cycle which is likely matching the cycle of gameplay for the group of friends.

Seriously... I don't understand the things you are saying.

 

Are you saying a person, who possibly just bought the game, maybe with some friends, should get stuck playing by themselves for an entire day because they chose the wrong server to start with? Ya ok.

 

Imagine this: I wake up, buy dayz, get on a random server, have a blast, then convince my friend to buy it.

My friend buys it, gets on, and chooses another random server because we are both noobs and we don't understand. now we cant play together for a day.

 

This will never happen in any video game. it is unintelligent.

You completely missed the point to my post, i have now fully decided you are in fact a child so i wont argue with you to a great extent.

 

That loot i got the other day could of been someone else's yes but what i feel makes the whole situation fairer is the fact i have been on the same server(s) (1 for hardcore and 1 for regular) since i started playing in December, if i loot a military base its because i have walked there from where ever i have been on the map to said base, not found a few different servers taken loot from each one by logging out/in different bases.

 

Also from your post about being able to hit escape to see if doors are open or not i also feel you most likely glitch into the walls as a safe way to server hop. Just throwing that into the mix. Good job :)

Wow talk about picking out one word; in a game with over 1.5 million players you wont get all of them in a single situation, so yeah I think if you generally (sorry had to) make it work for the masses its ok. Either way, it was just another suggestion to solve server hopping bandits, heroes, and loot farmers in one fell swoop that didn't disadvantage any large group of players.

 

P.S. Going back to patiently waiting on the Devs to deal with the issue. :)

actually you shouldn't have started the thread in the first place unless you just like the harassment you will get (refer back to the "not enough attention at home" bit). it's more than obvious all you are looking for is attention so now you have it. are you happy that people hate you and your behavior? if you are perhaps you should seek counseling or at the very least try and engage someone in real life in some real conversation instead of filling the forum with troll threads. lovely way to start your posting.

try searching for "reset timer" and "loot respawn" its been covered - not an insult at all its just a reflection of your overall behavior - I should know, I've raised 3 children well past that age and they usually stop behaving like children once they have been given a good reason to. mine were relatively mature around age 14.

Have there be ZERO loot on server restart, then every 30mins(or so) have a random town spawn loot. This way, you never know which town has good loot, but you know ONE of them does.
