KamiOfKOS 50 Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) Get an i5 whit at least a z68/h77/z77 motherboard, 2x4GB ddr3 1333/1600, any nvidia whit at least 300+ stream processors and 1GB+ ram will make Dayz fly.You could add a 64GB ssd to install games on, but it s a lot of money to save 2 seconds in loadings screens so just use your old hdd or any wd caviar black will do the trick nicely and cheapy Edited March 1, 2014 by KamiOfKOS

Caboose187 (DayZ) 3036 Posted March 1, 2014 400-500$ is damn low for a complet build. That would get a motherboard, processor and ram
Michael_42 11 Posted March 1, 2014 Does anyone know of a pre-built tower I can buy for about $4-500? Maybe 6? I already have keyboard, mouse, and monitor
creature 1189 Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) If you'll be happy with "pretty good", go with AMD. Something like: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8687101&CatId=332 will run it decently. Better after they optimize. Edit to add: That was just an idea. I suggest shopping around for prices and parts. Jock McScottish 216 Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) This one will run Dayz mod and standalone just fine if you want pretty good, but not maxed out. I should know, cos its the rig I bought last August for 50 quid more than it is now, and I am delighted with it! http://www.medion.com/gb/prod/MEDION+AKOYA+P2306+DR+PC+%28B-Stock%29/410018746 Edited March 1, 2014 by Jock McScottish

Dusty_ 48 Posted March 1, 2014 My suggestion is save your money for another month, and maybe almost double your budget and you can build a way better machine. It's worth the wait, trust me. I bought a cheap pc to run some games, wasn't long before I just built a wayy better pc that runs games like a b0zz

Michael_42 11 Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) Ya guys I wish I could wait a month and have another $400 because I'm only 14 and my dad is spending $300 into this I don't want to game or anything just want to play minecraft and dayz and be able to browse, watch youtube, and write reports and stuff for school so will any of those computers run dayz? That's all I want to know. I will not be playing ghost, bf4 or anything like that i have an xbox one and 360 for that. Will dayz be coming to consoles? Edited March 1, 2014 by Michael_42
Michael_42 11 Posted March 1, 2014 I think I'm just going to get this pc and upgrade the graphics card if it won't run dayz. http://www.walmart.com/ip/CyberpowerPC-Black-Gamer-Ultra-GUA250-Desktop-PC-with-AMD-Quad-Core-FX-4300-Processor-8GB-Memory-1TB-Hard-Drive-and-Windows-7-Home-Premium-Monitor/17811825
psyelf 2 Posted March 1, 2014 If you can't wait for have more money, you should, in any case, consider to build your own PC.This can give you some ideas. http://elitegamingcomputers.com/good-cheap-gaming-computers/ http://www.game-debate.com/blog/index.php?b_id=11382&author=Themash&blog=Budget%201080p%20capable%20gaming%20computer As some user adviced, secondhands part can help you to build a better PC for the same price tag. Michael_42 11 Posted March 1, 2014 Can someone tell me the cheapest graphics card, power supply, motherboard, etc. to run dayz? This would help a lot. And guys I don't want an amazing gaming pc just one to run dayz and minecraft pretty good that is it. Nothing else like bf4 or anything just dayz and minecraft and like word and what not. Also prices for these components would be great.

I should of pointed it out that I got my 4770k when they were 295 bucks. I built this to work awesome with streaming. Im happy with it. :)

Im happy with it. :) I never told the 4770k was a problem ;) The board is weak and wont allow for good overclock on the 4770k. A 4670k + a Z87 board could have been a better balanced build.
