oregonized 673 Posted February 28, 2014 Will we be able to use a firearm or melee weapon to destroy gear that is lying on the ground? I would very much love to use my axe or pistol to ruin items I find but do not need so other players cannot use them. If I just leave the ruined loot where it spawned, new loot won't respawn in it's place so you're fucked if you don't move it yourself at that point. Also, for now you are screwed until the next server restart and that could be nearly four hours until you are able to find loot in the areas I cleaned out. Well, maybe is servers restarted every 12 hours or so, it wouldn't be. You can't remove or destroy enough loot in enough towns to make enough of an impact to be worth the effort. In the mod maybe. Very few enterable buildings. In the GAME? lol. You might make 1 or 2 players have a tough time finding food. That's about it. I applaud the idea, but it's still a waste of time and effort imo. Also, I already mentioned how it could make things a hassle for players once the loot spawning is in place. By the time more loot respawns someone else could be in town and kill them.
