[Discussion] What is needed to make hardcore, properly hardcore?

I would personally like it if infected were so hard that as they start getting to be more than a few attracted to you, it made you have to run away instead of staying and fighting.. The only way I see this to be accomplished is making them headshot only kills.. This on top of any normal jumps in difficulty already planned to make the infected more than a nuisance on servers as is right now.. I also think the perimeter that they hear and are attracted to gunfire would be from much farther away... (ex. zombie in the center of Cherno, gun shots from as far as 500-650m would attract them. Or.. whatever is the actual distance each of the firearms can be heard from.) 

 

There should be situations with the infected that are so bad that your only choice is to run.. Even if you have a full 60 mag on a m4a1.

 

No silencers as well.

Battlefield surgery

 

If you get shot you lie there writhing in agony while somebody does emergency field surgery, bandages you, gives you an IV.

 

Then you have to be dragged out of the battle and have a 10 or 20min timer atleast where you have to wait to heal before you can move at fullspeed again.

 

Perhaps for that 10/20min you can only limp around moving very slowly but maybe you can still shoot.

 

Also when you get shot you should enter a "Shock" mode where you screen gets blurry and shakey while you're in shock. If a Battlefield medic doesnt give you the proper meds you go unconscious and die

 

That and bleeding attracts zombies..

 

Period.

 

Actually that should be standard.

Not bumping this thread in an attempt to get more replies, more the case that one of the additions I had suggested has now been added to the experimental branches.

 

You can now collect water in canteens and water bottles by holding them up in the rain.

I think hardcore should be more tied on couple servers per hive and not a one huge hive. That way your gaming could be limited more easily with a couple day hive ban for example. That would give more perma death feeling and that's very much needed in hardcore.

Other thing I like to see is fatigue so you don't run all the time everywhere. That way thw world would also feel much bigger.

Though in the end I would want that this game has only one difficulty and it's hardcore :D
