Johnny Depth 167 Posted February 25, 2014 Once hunting/fishing is implemented, with campfires and tents assumed finished, I'm going to get away from civilization to try and avoid the hostilities that the coast brings to players. Who want come with? We can bring books, and live life.
mosibfu 71 Posted February 25, 2014 if you do the cooking im in :P but yeah, ive been looking foreward to doing this.. once persistent storage is in im going to save up on cooking supplies
Johnny Depth 167 Posted February 25, 2014 I'll do all the cooking. Plus when basebuilding is implemented, this will become even more of a reality because we can actually build a town. Call it Woodbury or something cool like that.

Gekkonidae 270 Posted February 25, 2014 I guess you haven't played the mod. Everyone and their grandmother will be all over the North making "settlements". Very true. I think it will be interesting to see. I played a hell of a lot of DayZ Origins and it was really interesting to see what ideas people came up with on where to set up camps. Johnny Depth 167 Posted February 25, 2014 Sweet, I'll be sending you guys steam friend requests when the time comes, for now, we should scout the map and see where we should put a base. You guys have any ideas already? I've only trekked up north once.

You guys have any ideas already? I've only trekked up north once. I've been all over up north. In my 130 or so hours of playing, I've spent a majority of time scoping out spots to put persistent storage items. I'm not even about to talk about the cool/nice places I've seen on here though :P I'd recommend heading inland, bulking up on food and drink and spending 6 or so hours exploring :) Mark interesting places on the map for later.
