e00c 84 Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) Server side? Client Side? I think not.. 1) It's not Wednesday. 2) No dev change log details. 3) Google hasn't helped. But I've seen this on Raptr: Optimization for DayZ arrived! Yay, more FPS.Well yeah, in the latest update my FPS increased by double!....... Link: :edit: That said, something strange did happen the other day. Whilst I was getting a near constant 60fps outside of towns... It suddenly decided to jump to 100... and still is. Oddly, no new updates, no driver updates. Nothing. Edited February 25, 2014 by jumling

rickyriot 1009 Posted February 25, 2014 Haven't you heard? Since Rocket announced his decision to leave the project in a year or so, everyone has given up on developing the Alpha and they've all been moved over to Arma4 development.
rickyriot 1009 Posted February 25, 2014 Some of that is indeed looking sweet as a fucking nut. The ragdoll stuff with lighting will be really good fun once they hit experimental.

Gurk-o-vich 25 Posted February 25, 2014 This might be off topic but I want to adress the FPS issue...So I was tinkering with resolution, antialiasing, textures and so on and came to the following conclusion: Nothing I tried did resolve those heavy fps drops when on certain spots in towns. However I noticed that when I turned my resolution up, deactivated antialiasing, put textures on low (the other stuff I just deactivated) I had the best result. Did any of you guys also try cranking your settings? What are your results? System specs (might help): RAM 8 GBGeForce GTX 560 Ti So actually that should suffice for a game like this to run okay... but apparantly it isn't?!
yorkmorgan 191 Posted February 25, 2014 I think they are quietly rolling out changes to the experimental cos its got a lot of new content now: three new buildings, and an insane server performance increase. It still has the no loot spawning houses and quite a few bugs and I heard it won't be pushed to stable until those are fixed. I think this is going to be the new model for updates, they continually add to the experimental until a meaningful amount of new content is added and only then push it to stable, I only wish they communicated what they're doing on the forums more

Xarg 6 Posted February 25, 2014 Is this on standalone, or mod? ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Rocket doesn't work directly on the mod anymore, it's the standalone.
