Maybe this is part of Deans frustration with this engine. Seems tailor made for chicken-shit PVPers, with no qualms at all about cheating.

 

 

A real immersion breaker - I've said it before and I stand by it. They should have made the SA 1st Person only for realism. Fuck that flying camera shit.

You can still see through walls in 1PP.

You're right though, they need to male this 1PP only, but only after they hammer out some of the 1PP issues such as foliage not rendering at distance and getting stuck on stuff and not knowing why.

I would love to see a reversion to  strictly 1st person just for a patch just so people are forced to actually try it and see that it is way more immersive.

Forcing people to play 1st person only is a terrible idea and will remain a terrible idea.

 

There is a reason hardcore servers are outnumbered 50:1 by regular servers currently, 1st person will always be a niche. I have one character on a hardcore server, had to turn it off after 5 minutes of spawning it's just a completely weird way to play.

As a professed and generally acknowledged server hopper some might be interested to hear that I don't do this. Saving yourself time is one thing, but giving yourself an advantage in battle through some bullshit exploit is just lame.

 

Anyone been killed in the three story building with the one room apartment at the top? The one across the middle fire station in Elektro? Anyone know what this building is called? Its probably the biggest hotspot in the game. I'd really like to know how to get up there to kill those mother fuckers who camp up there. I've been killed by this several times. Thought it was wall hacking until the most recent time I saw his face and gun sticking out of the ceiling. I've died to this more than anything else. It's actually what prompted me to stop surviving and start KoSing. Dying within the first 5 minutes of engaging in PvP after looting for three hours up north because you got shot from somewhere that shouldn't be possible is not fun.

I chose 'No' because I personally never went into one of them, although I have trapped one of my Teammates in one of the prison military buildings out of pure boredem (and he was kinda too long afk...). He hasn't been able to come out of there ever since, pretty effective.
