Ideas for next patch build / 0.40.*

Recommended Posts

Next Patch Build (0.40.*)

These are extremely needed things. Please add them, some of these features require time to sit on and model / script but it shouldn't be so hard.

[1] The Beginning of Hunting - It's almost the first quarter of the year and the most basic features of the Roadmap aren't in the current build. You should start working on the Hunting system. Even 1 animal should do for now like a pork or a deer.

But there are a few things you should take into consideration such as - Animals have different speed. I mean it, if you put deers in - make sure they walk calmly in forests and fields - and once a deer spotted a player he'll run off. It also brings stealth-hunting which is fun.

[2] Add a bow - Ye! Like the one from The Last Of Us. Not a crossbow, but a true bow with perfect reloading animation and wooden arrows. Make it kill players with 1 bow to the head and 2 bows to the stomach / back. Also, make it break players' arms and legs if the arrow hits any of them.

Oh and, add some arrows to those barns - it's a nice way to start having 'Barns Lootpiles' (though there aren't lootpiles but you catch my drift). Let us also craft wooden arrows with 1 wooden stick and a knife / bayonet / hatchet, and the hatchet shouldn't be consumed (obviously...).

[3] Let us gather Wood from trees with hatchets - Ye, just like the mod. We should get either wooden sticks or wooden piles. Make it random.

It will be nice to see those things in 0.40.*

There is no point in adding hunting to the game when we have this crazy food spawning rate, no one will waste their time trying to hunt an animal while they can just run to a house and fill their bp with tons of food till it's full
