How do I know I have broken my leg?

Hey guys,

since I didn't find a topic on this I gotta ask:

 

How do I know I have broken my leg?

 

I walked down the outside tower stairs at Devil's Castle and fell through the stairs. My guy immediately went to prone and my pants with contents were ruined.
Since then I can't stand up. I applied 2 bandages but those won't word - seems logical if I broke my leg. But I am not sure if I broke it. Everytime I stand up and try to walk my char just lies down again - unless I don't move, then he stands up.

Did anyone got this problem?

Number one best way to tell if broken leg:

Try to stand up and walk, if you're guy immediately goes prone and cries like a wimp (That may be a tad bit harsh. :D) then yep, broken leg. Worked since 2001.

Okay, thanks... then that might not be the case.

I stand up, press "w", then he goes crouch and then directly to prone without yammering... 

When I press "x" (climb obstacles) I can move...

That's a broken leg alright. It can be confusing because you can stand up if your leg is broken, but if you move forward you will promptly smash your face into the ground, which when you think about it is kind of realistic. You could balance on one leg, but you would fall as soon as you tried to use your other leg.

the only indication is he will not stand and walk without going prone again so yes you have a broken leg bandages will do nothing you need a splint ( a sticks and rag ) or a morphine injection.

Yeah, your leg's definitely broken. You can fix it either by morphine or by creating a splint :)

Thanks, I figured...

But since I was lost out there I just killed myself - it took me 30min to have even better equipment. Even found a fully stocked tan sniper rifle :D
