Dave in Zeleno

Recommended Posts

A very unfortunate series of events led me to murder a fellow called Dave, and Dave's friend. This is a confession, and an apology. None of this had to happen; I could have saved us all.

CAST

VERY APE, murdered in Zelenogorsk on February the 22nd.

PATRICK, murdered in Zelenogorsk on February the 22nd.

DAVE, murdered in Zelenogorsk on February the 22nd.

JOHN DOE, murdered in Zelenogorsk on February the 22nd.

GUNMAN 1, pissing on our corpses.

Very Ape and Patrick were taking a stroll Zelenogorsk. They ran into John Doe and were taken with fright. They raised their guns, fingers itching, but stayed their hands; robbery was on their minds, not murder. On the streets they were exposed, so they marched the survivor towards a nearby building, reassuring him that his life would be spared.

Very Ape heard a burst of gunfire from an M4, and saw Patrick fall. He ran to cover, as did John Doe. A courtyard separated them, and the John's gun was still safely strapped to his back, but Very Ape found himself in quite an upsetting situation. John Doe claimed his innocence, but was undoubtedly one of them.

He had to be.

Very Ape raised his rifle and killed John Doe. He peeked around a building and saw more gunfire. Very Ape fell, thinking himself dead. He woke up, though. A bandage was applied, and Very Ape ran into a neighboring building. He waited. Patrick was still alive, but Very Ape didn't have the medical supplies Patrick would need in order to live. The gunman was still alive. Very Ape was barely alive.

So Very Ape waited.

Footsteps stirred him from his hard watch over the courtyard where Patrick and John Doe's bodies were. Very Ape turned around and watched the door to the room where he had barricaded himself.

The door opened, and Very Ape fired.

Meet Dave.

Dave had a Mosin Nagant, not an M4. Dave was talking, pleading for his life. Very Ape felt a pang of guilt, and was determined to save Dave, if only to redeem himself from killing John Doe. Dave said he had epinephrine in his backpack, which Very Ape found. Very Ape then asked Dave if he would save Patrick, while he watched from the second floor with his rifle. That's when Dave signed his death warrant.

''Alright, yeah! Do you have epi-pen, too?''

Very Ape only had Dave's epi-pen. Very Ape only had Dave's saline bag. Very Ape only had Dave's bandage.

Very Ape chambered one round into his pistol, and somberly told Dave not to worry; there was only one way he could help him.

Dave died, John Doe died. When Very Ape rushed out to save Patrick, the gunman was nowhere to be seen. Very Ape saved Patrick's life.

Very Ape and Patrick ran back towards the building and were blinded by the muzzle flash of an M4.

Very Ape and Patrick would never rob, or murder, anyone ever again.

Oh my... You didn't kill to kill... You killed to save. But you shouldn't have killed in the first place. What you did was wrong, and I forgive you.

I will point you the way I found redemption. In my early days of the game, I killed just to kill. I sought redemption by becoming a Medic.

I save lives now... It feels nice.

Your sins are forgiven Very Ape.

John Doe was undoubtedly one of them and putting him down... 'twas the right call. Can't be in the middle of a gunfight and nursing prisoners anyway. Safest and quickest to dispose of prisoners and concentrate on the would be murderers and thus, John Doe had to die.

The murder of Dave was unfortunate. Dave was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Dave had the supplies needed to save Patricks life and was injured anyway. Very Ape had to choose between his friend Patrick and the unfortunate Dave. A hard choice, but Very Ape didn't know Dave from a bar of soap. A bullet was Dave's friend that day.

And so blood was spilled that day.

Good work. Killing on sight will prevent any discourse in the ways of your own path.  You'll never have to worry about anyone being a threat again.  Eliminate the living.  Eliminate the dead.  GayZ
