Gonna try again, I apologize mod if you couldn't see the first video and shut the topic without ever realizing what I wanted to achieve with it. You said post it in gallery forum because it was a video(which is posted in general forums all the time alongside pictures), but the video is more of a suggestion while also a video but I also want it generally discussed with other people, so thank you. I do feel I posted this in the right forum. However, I do appreciate the suggestion to use the gallery forum. I found a new video from youtube with the same content. I hope your country can view it Mr.Mod. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhkFz5ibVPgIf you watch the video you would see I am obviously pointing out how awesome this all could be inside the world in DayZ, they even mention the "Scavenged" the parts from old tanks(there's totally none of those in this map =P ). I was wondering if anyone else thought this type of system for the widely suggested train and railroad idea would be pretty cool?! I mean, it's all there!Again, sorry mod dude. Not trying to infuriate the DayZ forum gods. IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted February 22, 2014 (edited) These are otherwise known as speeders (at least in the US). They can run from very complex to as simple as a you have linked to. One we use at HRS is basically a Picnic table with flagged wheals and an old car engine hooked up to em. We also have a 1 cylinder engine speeder that can get pretty up there with speed. Most of these are fairly light, as they're meant for Maintenance of Way workers to use and get out of the way of regular rail traffic. I've seen one of these where two met on the tracks and stopped, one group took the bamboo platform off, picked up the motor, and picked the wheels off the track to allow the other to pass. Our speeders could be easily derailed by hand and pushed out of the way without disassembly. EDIT Usually not a good idea to bitch at mods when your post is questionable to say the least. As he said they can't screen every post for objectionable content, many rape posts have been buried/deleted, but for some reason a vocal minority would like this to be a rape simulator instead of a hiking simulator and derail several posts. I would give the advice the Amazing Horse has given in the past, if you have an issue with a Mod, take it up with another Mod or a Green Text mod such as Boneboys. I didn't say that, if you use quotations after literally quoting a thing someone said, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to try and re-quote them with something they never said... does it? I do want it in general, I also explained why, the discussion was not entirely based for one forum, I found it to be suitable in a general format. The video itself was not meant to be the main center vocal point but more so the discussion on how all this could fit into the world of DayZ. I understand I only put a video up at the start, but I figured after watching the video the discussion would start itself since most of the thoughts had been tossed around in the air. Your artistic vision must have trumped mine. I thought I could provoke a thought discussion on how these people build such amazing devices for public transport that is cheap and also amazing in both brilliance and efficiency all while thinking it also could be something to include in this here Video Game dealy bob watcha ma call it. They will pick and choose between themselves, so some people they dislike they will try and close down their threads or move them without even reading them, depends on who you are. The topic does not matter to the moderators on this forum, it is about the person who posts them. On topic this is an awesome idea. Try posting it on reddit and you may get a bit of a better responce and a better GENERAL discussion about it, also rocket is more likely to take notice on reddit then on the games own forum which for some STRANGE reason none of the developers use. I saw someone suggest an eat all button on reddit and next thing you know it was in- game so there is always a chance it could become reality. I cant figure how to delete a post.Yeah I know there is.. but, I don't believe any offered a great video with a real life scenario that completely fit in the world of DayZ. Most suggestions i've seen are just about fixing about old actual trains. This is making a new dumbed down train that is actually practical in this situation.
