Anyone who thinks horses don't make sense or a bicycle can do anything they do but better... You are a fucking moron.  Horses would realistically be one of the main modes of transportation besides your damn feet in an apocalypse situation.

How so? You've got to feed them, maintain (brush, rub, keep warm, etc) them after every ride, can't push them too hard for too long, else they'll give out, plus they are skittish around gunshots unless trained. You can't take them on technical surfaces (rocky roads, mountain trails, etc) unless they have the right shoes, plus, if they get injured, do you know how to provide medical care, treat diseases?

With a bicycle, I can go as fast as I want, as hard as I want, as long as "I" am capable of keeping said speed. I can take it from offroad to paved road easily, even without changing the tires, and if I get a flat or chain-break, any idiot can replace one of those, even if I can't, there is bound to be another bicycle around SOMEWHERE. I also don't have to feed the damn thing, nor let it rest at the end of the day. So long as I have an air pump (which I have, a hand pump that fits under the seat) I can fill up the tires in less than 3 minutes.

Bicycles )))))))))))))) horses, easily.

Sounds to me like you don't know much about horses.  They can graze in giant fields all over Chernarus, drink from ponds/streams/lakes, they don't NEED shoes, and you can take them anywhere.  Illness and injury could happen but that is why you have more than one horse.

 

How many bicycles do you really think are going to be around and do you think you will be able to somehow make new tires and inner tubes?  Not only are there a lot of parts that need maintained to keep a bike riding smoothly but I would love to see you ride one up and over huge hills, mountains, and gnarly terrain without breaking stuff or getting hurt.

 

You're living in a fantasy land.  Horses are better than bicycles all day, every day.

If you're riding a horse, your consumption of energy and water is reduced to nearly nothing! The horse can eat for free at any pasture in Chenarus, while you ride around consuming almost nothing!

If you have never ridden a horse before/often enough (and I assume, most of the people haven't), your muscles will ache like shit.

it all depends on how far they want to go with hunting.

 

i play and have played te best hunting game that is on pc since start (theHunter) it would be great to see some realistic hunting added and it is very good fun.

 

many animals are different have different characteristics . as pointed out though it depends if its going to be a just shoot collect or hunting as in proper hunting.

 

bow hunting it also great fun and challenging. you have to get closer to animals with bows thhough and also factor in bullet drop.

 

 

i am interested in how hunting and animals are going to be added and look forward to their introduction again.

wild boar

horses (possible transport)

bear seem not too suited but could be in rare parts.

fish for ponds,fishing

Actually you've got me there. I dated a couple equestrian chicks in high school and college, had plenty of time in the saddle. You're absolutely right..

However, you would use a lot less energy than a Kenyan marathon runner.. which is what most of us resemble at this point. I would simply argue that consumption levels would be substantially lower riding than running mile after mile in Chenarus.

I want a dog that can alert you to another persons intentions based on their past behavior.

 

If said person kills on sight the dog would bark furiously at them.

 

If the player dos not kill on sight the dog would make playful gestures towards them.

 

Just like in real life. Maybe that will even out the playing field due to the game not allowing you to get that sixth sense feeling when someone walks up to you talking all nice then attacking you.

 

As there are no “You Feel Uneasy” messages to add to the realism, everyone has had that I am being watched feeling or that I don’t trust this person feeling these are not detectable looking at virtual player. But now a virtual dog that could detect these would be awesome.

 

Go head all of you kill on sight players whine how it wouldn’t be fair to you that the dog detects you before you can gain line of sight to perform your dirty deed.

But you got the point with less consumption of water and food, yes.

Definitively an upgrade then walking.

 

Because Horses can go anywhere, where you can walk, and even further (through heavy bushes, mud, swim).

Predators will definitely make the northern wilds where I spend a fair bit of time more interesting. 

I don't think I'd utilise horses much. I don't think I'll utilise vehicles when they're in game either, I think they'll both attract faaaar too much attention for my tastes.  But I would love a dog. I'm a bit of a lone wolfer, so it'd be awesome to have a dog with me out in the wilds.
