If you paint it black, it comes out looking more dark brown, dirty, and looking more like a ~80yr old workhorse weapon. Its not black, black. The first shot probably won't kill the guy anyway - not to mention if you're looking for accuracy better than the sks, the mosin or b95 are better choices.
