Is there bullet-water physics?

Recommended Posts

So I was thinking, idk if there is it already, but when you shoot water the bullet doesn't go more than like 2 feet(google it), yadda yadda depending on the caliber.

I went full camouflage by going prone in the pond near Elektro. If there are real physics, I'd be invincible and practically invisible. Good hiding spot.

They should also add floor to the bottom of pools and ocean for diving latter on.

If water physics was real i think almost every pistol round, shotgun slug and the winchester slugs would be the only weapons that would still hit you if they are slow enough. Their speed is what stops the bullets if they are not destroyed by the force of the impact first. Everyone who landed flat on the water knows that it feels like you just hit a concrete floor.

Water does stop and/or deflect bullets. They can also ricochet off the surface. That's from ARMA 2. I haven't tested but I don't see why it would be any different in the standalone.

Funny fact though that HE rounds explode, ricochet to explode again...

Hasn't anyone watched the Mythbusters on this subject?
