Have you been to the center of the map lately?

Hey guys/gals, i just wanted to share that when you spawn you don't need to run to the main Cities at the coast and bases. Lately i have been going direct to the small and medium towns in the center of the map and there is a diverse amount of loot and A LOT of it.

 

The reason i mention this is because a lot of new players like me are complaining about being KOS or shot in the leg everytime they go to those cities/bases and they seem to have the impression that there is were one finds everything.

 

That is not the case(well not these days)! In span of 2-3 hours of exploring these towns i always end up well fed, find a well, ammo and yes guns too!

 

I know some people want to get military gear really quick..but for those like me who like the "survival" aspect of the game and want to go to these bases prepared and well fed and hydrated-then try that next spawn..and then tussle with those snipers. B)

 

btw i play with servers with 20+ players and stlil these towns are untouched!

You really don't find very many guns or much ammo in those places, in all honesty. They are there sometimes, but not very often. Food, cans of pop, med kits, clothes, backpacks, melee weapons: yeah.

 

The reason people go to the big towns and the military places is that they know they'll get armed up there.

I don't know the name of it... there's one spawn that at first looks like shit, but it's become my favorite. Essentially you follow a road north-east-ish. There's almost immediately a water pump, so there goes your dehydration problems, and a house, +1 zombie. Be prepared to run for a long time to get away from it; the relatively flat terrain doesn't make for a tactical escape.

Up the road is a cowpen, so say hello to all the clothes you need + a melee weapon or two

Past that (or next to it? Haven't played in a month and a half) is a nice, large house that tends to spawn a decent amount of food. There goes your starvation problem.

Keep going and you hit a small-medium town with a hospital. There goes your medical needs.

Keep going, again, and you will find an "Under construction" building. Almost always a decent backpack + M4 ammo, sometimes even an M4A1!

Aaaand still in the same direction, you can go to a near-abandoned airfield and get all the military loot you need, or head towards the coast and hit the giant barge on the beach.

 

And then to Kaliznksyalskjdfklaksdjfklasjdlkfjfuckingrussiancitiesandtheirgoddamnednamespissmeoff and start shooting players.

Hehe... no offense, but it is true and it should be absolutely obvious. 

 

If I spawn, i figure out where I am and head inlands. Most time I end up with my basic gear near the Vybor Military Base.

 

 

If you want to aquire your weapons as fast as possible and go out to play a little COD... well...then you'll be too late in 99,99% of all cases. And you just can't get them while playing fair. 

 

 

Can anyone else explain to me, why the hell there are people at the coast and even try to find something? As long as loot doesn't respawn, it is obvious, that there won't be any loot where all the newspawns where.

Dude, you just gave away the secrets of all veteran players who don't server hop or KOS for gear...

EDIT: Now that it's out of the bag, I have to say, this is the best way to get healthy and get gear.

I still say it's largely cobblers. I spend 90% of my time going from small town to small town in the middle/north of the map. I've found about 5 rifles and one shotgun in those places in about 80 hours. You find more than that in 30 minutes if you go to the big towns or military bases (as long as you're good at dodging bullets, natch).

 

Either the 'big secret of veteran players' is a bullshit myth, or I'm very unlucky.

I consider the coastal cities more of an endgame zone than inland. Once you're geared come back to the coast, but first head inland where there's far more places to hide and gear up.

Spawned yesterday as a newspawn on a hardcore server, first time trying them out.  Grabbed a fire axe at town #1 on the coast and headed inland.  Within 2 hours tops I was healthy, energized, and hydrated, and fully geared.  I did not see a single other player.  Its really a shame people don't use the other 97% of the map.

Only thing I struggle to find inland is an M4.  Mosin, SKS, B95, FNX and magnums can all be found inland in abundance.
