whothehellishe 81 Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) Yes I am, I am truly amazed by some people, I had several encounters were people acted stupid, and sometimes people tried to fight back even if the were outnumbered 3 to 1, but today I think we got a winner! We blew up the gas station of the new city, while we were hanging there a guy rushes through the open field, we hide and ambush him next to the stasion, his Mosin is on his back, we all pop up and aim at him while one of us is telling him to "Dude stop and stand still please", he stops, pulls his Mosin, aims and dies instantly. Now you tell me what was this guys thinking..."wow i heard like 200 gunshots from there and a big ass explosion, lets rush there and quick-draw anyone who talks to me". I mean it would be much easier to just target practice on him while he was running clueless.. .bottom line..people who risk their position and the element of surprise by trying to communicate usually are friendly and they will help you or maybe they will rob you but certainly wont kill you. Without a humanity system the word "friendly" might as well be translated to "bandit". Sadly I must agree... why surrender so that they can handcuff you, take your stuff and then feed you rotten food? If you draw your gun then the worst thing that happens is that they shoot you, ruin all your stuff and get nothing, while you die.If you're lucky you might even get away or pop one of the bandits... The last guy who shouted "friendly" "I'm not a threat" , ran around the corner and came back with an FNX to shoot me. 3 guys have me surrounded and tell me to surrender? Pull my gun and spam z, the best that can happen is they commit fratricide and someone how I manage to survive, likley outcome I manage to confuse them and get a round into the one I can see hopefully ruining some of his gear, the worst, they ruin most of my gear and get little to nothing. All down to the laws of averages really. If you run into friendlies that aren't going to shoot you then they aren't going to shoot you if you just carry on running. Normally all you'll get is "lol, man, stop" or "run Forrest" types of comments. However you run into a bunch of non-friendlies who are determined to fuck your shit up, they'll do that whether you stop or not. I think you're missing out on the fun if all you do is run away or draw a weapon if someone tries to hold you up. It doesn't matter AT ALL if you die; it doesn't matter AT ALL if you're robbed of your stuff. Being held up has actually provided some of the most amusing moments in my DayZ experience so far. Realistically speaking, they have nothing worth looting, and you just wasted a bullet or a few to take them out. What happens to you then when someone gets the drop on you and your out of ammo? Exactly, all your "Hard earned" gear is suddenly gone because you couldn't fight back simply because you attacked players who couldn't fight back and had nothing worth taking. If you dont want to interact go and play something else...none of you gave me a good reason, "afraid of getting abused or forcefed", never done that, never saw that, so your excuse is bs, not everyone in this game is a scumbag, but even so your "abuse" excuse sounds more fun that instantly getting shot in the face. Keep running lads and dont surrender, lets all just start shooting on sight, fuck interactions! Anyways feel free to lock this, i got my answer, there are indeed quite a lot of you idiots out there, shoot you soon i guess. p.s.
