Where to find m4 mags?

I am at blota and really hope I can find some m4 mags,I got like 60 lose bullets but no m4 mags.

 

The only mags I have wont take the m4 bullets when I drag em so it must not be a m4 mag.

Any ideas where in blota I could find mags? I also might go to the town on the hill because the school there might have bullets.

 

I only have a hand gun with one mag so I hope I can get m4 bullets soon,I have the m4 still just no mags.

I find alot of mags for all firearms in the city's (Aka electro and cherno) and just look threw firestations pubs and churches

One run last night I found 3 fully loaded single mags and 2 empty double mags.

Best place to find M4 mags is the building with the jail cell, the two rooms usually spawn them regularly  ;)

The jail buildings, barracks, hangars, air control towers, all over military bases.

 

When I logged in a few days ago I found shit loads of them at Balota.

They spawn pretty much all over the base, you just have to look. They spawn most frequently in the bunk beds in the jail buildings though.

where you find the M4, you will find mags.

I was at the airfield yesterday and at least 10 mags of different types and 4 mags for the sks and 3 speed loaders for the .357

M4 does spawn @ Elektro Office (Saw it myself twice), albeit you will never find an M4 mag in Elek.

I usually find mags at the airfield. I'm usually at the neaf and have found them in all the buildings and hangars at various times. They are there. Just gotta get there first. :)

 

Edit: Also, I've noticed a few times when I go into the buildings you can tell someone has been there. There will be several mags laying in a pile and all of them will be empty.

Any military installation (including the airfields) will have piles of M4 magazines of all sizes.

@ the OP: You've posted over a thousand times here and am surprised that you have to ask. And you know you want .556 rounds, right? I'm not being critical, just curious because I'm very new to DayZ SA and have found three 40 stack M4 mags in total at the NE airfield. :)

 

If you're up for the run, the NE airfield seems relatively safe compared to Bilota or the NW airfield. It's quite a haul getting there from down south but I think that makes it a less likely place for snipers, etc, to be--the bloodlust is higher and easier to fulfill down south.
