By the time this gets into the game,people will start KOS-ing everyone and everythng on sight and eating them raw.

I can imagine it, even though I'd most likely never or very rarely resort to it in the game. Also, it would obviously come with drawbacks so not everyone and their mother will do this instead.

 

That's just common sense guys, really. What's more 'safe' ? Loot spawns or other, moving and potentially hostile and armed players? Also, you'd have to cook stuff first, and ONLY eating that would give you the shakes. = Sign you are nasty and shitty aim.

 

Also, it would give "heroes" or certain groups the ability to perform searches. Human meat = contraband :D

Both should affect your char.

 

Like if you get raped you will bleed a lot and you will be unable to F3. Also rape victim's walking animation will be changed accordingly, and if the rapee attempts to run then bleeding from behind will start flowing again. Shock level will be permanently high and untreatable from epinephrine.

 

Cannibalism should gradually change your looks and your nutrition habits. The more you eat humans the more you are addicted and nothing else can stop your hunger for human flesh.

I think this is a great idea (not that I am a cannibal!) because it adds to the awesome realism of this game. Also, the KOSing issue is just so extensive that you'll never get rid of it, people are paranoid about getting killed by others and TBH, I think in a real post-apocalypse you probably wouldn't take any chances with other survivors either (I do NOT KoS though).

 

Obviously you'd need side effects like Kuru/mad cow disease and serious risk of illness if uncooked to give the player some kind of choice. And as mentioned, the shakes like from Book of Eli from Prion Disease would need to affect your aiming ability.

 

However, if people do want to KoS you for your flesh then so be it, this is the apocalypse :P
