When the SA first came out I found a few LRS about. Now days they are rare as hell but not impossible to find. A couple of real days ago me and a new found dude got silly and were test firing the mosin on the NWAF. Whilst doing so, we obviously attracted attention and thus got shot. I roamed high and low for at least 10 hrs on this new character before finally finding a badly damaged (still very usable) LRS in one of the double decker bunkers at the Northern end of the NWAF.

I shoot people before they see me/get to say "friendly" so I'm sure I wasn't the one who killed you.. anyways, I've found a lot of Pristine LRSs post patch (when they nerfed their spawn rate). Most of them on maimed/dead bodies.

i can guarantee you find at least one in the hangars doing a run at the nwaf, best done on full servers because people that played the mod are scared as shit so they'll never go there

I've got a little over 100 hrs in the SA so far and I have NEVER found a LRS and have only found a Mosin once. Unfortunately I tried painting it with a black spray can and glitched it out.

It's all good though. Finally found an SKS and so far I'm enjoying testing that one out. :)

I got my first LRS too.  The thing is dirty with the bipod.  I did my first real case of pseudo-banditry in Zeleno with a 400m shot as a fully geared server hopper appeared while I was shooting zombies.  I shot him as he was looking in the barracks (I had allowed another player to enter and then leave town).  He was hit and I thought laid down, I shot him on the ground but I think the first shot killed him since the zombie standing next to him just stood there.

 

Such a lethal weapon, I am not surprised that they greatly reduced LRS spawns.

I got one on my second or third life after the game's release.. Stopped playing right after that but I recently logged in again and saw that my char with all his gear is still there. I thought he had been wiped twice by now but guess not.

 

Gonna let him sit a few more weeks till game gets interesting. Hope I won't get wiped.

Just over 100hrs played, I've found 2 mosins and they were both in the past 2 days. Both in the police station (I think) its the building with the piano covered in blood and upstairs there is a desk in the middle of a room normally loaded with soda, but ive found 2 pristine mosins there in the last few days after once being killed from stairs. Still have yet to find an LRS and i was unaware it was even in the game.

I'm finding them quite frequently in the military base near Vybor in the barracks on the beds lately. I don't know if this is completely random luck, or a subtle loot deviation. I've found at least half a dozen there in the last week of casually looting it; only two of them were pristine, but still, it could be worth your while to check there. (:

you know weapon attachments spawn at high value non-military spawns...airfields are generally picked through, sniped, and high traffic. Plenty of other places to score a mosin and lrs, I think I've only got one mosin from the nwaf, rest have all come from the offices, techs, piano houses, barns, cafes, tri-level stores... Best place for attachments are the garages, at least in my playthroughs, always score parts there.

Only ever found 1 and gave it to a friend in pristine condition because I had yet to find a mosin. Now I've found tons of mosins and haven't seen a LRS for it since. Just a PU on my SKS now. Find m4 attachments all the time
