DayzForumer 284 Posted February 17, 2014 This thread contains alot of pictures, if you have slow internet or do not wish to view a page this long, return now. Otherwise, you may continue. Car MinigamesWhich would essentially mean, you have to interact with your car, examine it, check for leaks etc. to be able to drive it safely without driving of the road without a warning.Inspecting parts of the car for rust, holes, scratches or leakages. Information from last time you examined your car. This is old information, not new. Disassembling parts of the vehicle. Piece by piece, it'd take several minutes to do certain things. Being able to scan if the car is driveable, if anything is missing, oil etc. (This would be a findable item, preferably in industrial/garages.) This could for example be a car you found out in the woods. It have rusted and been looted over the years. You would have to change parts of it to be able to drive it like it should be driven. LockpickingProbably similiar to Skyrim's lockpicking system. You have a number of lockpicks, and the lock has a classification how hard it is. The harder it is, the more skill it would take to unlock it.
DayzForumer 284 Posted February 17, 2014 DIE pls. What the hell is up with you? Why are you going on a rampage writing "fuck you" and flaming people because they have ideas that could possibly benefit the development of a game? Do you want me to sit in a corner and write a diary how fascinating this wall is?

DayzForumer 284 Posted February 17, 2014 This really doesn't fit the gameStop typing 3-5 words and then just walking out of the room. Try to be enthusiastic and write an explanation why you do not feel the way I do.
DayzForumer 284 Posted February 17, 2014 fixing engines and cars? yep.skyrim lockpicking? yep.Nope. He wants you to train up skills otherwise you may not repair vehicles. I don't want skills, I just want minigames.

basinox 300 Posted February 17, 2014 Stop typing 3-5 words and then just walking out of the room. Try to be enthusiastic and write an explanation why you do not feel the way I do.It doesn't fit the game because you have to open a separate window for the minigame and the skyrim/falllout lock pick system is extremely unrealistic. dethsupport 110 Posted February 17, 2014 The only mini-games I approve of are those involving decks of cards with people for beans, bullets and bandages. Or games winner take all games of chance where someone dies and someone else walks away rich.
benri 33 Posted February 17, 2014 yes, that what i meant in my post.but not only mechanics - they should add many different mini games.dean talked about that a long time ago, maybe they will add it.
dethsupport 110 Posted February 17, 2014 Nope. He wants you to train up skills otherwise you may not repair vehicles. I don't want skills, I just want minigames. He suggested professions i.e. I'm a medic, I have lower risk of giving you an infection with an IV; you're a mechanic you can fix the engine. He did not suggested training or leveling up skills.

Nicko2580 398 Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) I don't like the term casual, so lets drop that. :p I wouldn't mind minigames provided that they: Were realistic and fit with the atmosphere of Day Z.Were not easy.Did not behave like Elder Scrolls lockpicking (I can pick every chest in Oblivion and Skyrim without ever breaking a pick)I would like to see minigames for crafting that relied on skill to create items of better quality. But again, I'd only like to see this if and only if it can be done without being gimmicky and easy to cheat. Very easy to learn extremely hard to master must be the motto of any minigames. And finally, no pausing or anything while you're doing a minigame. If you're in the middle of picking a lock or whatever and someone walks up behind you, bad luck. Edited February 17, 2014 by Nicko2580
