Walking is exhausting...

I've noticed that when walking you get exhausted (heavy breathing and scope sway) just as quickly as when running. It kind of ruins the point in moving slowly.

 

Is this intended or just a minor bug?

As to an answer to the question, I don't think getting tired due to walking is intended, unless you walk non-stop for long periods of time. I haven't noticed that my character gets exhausted from walking however.

He starts gasping after 15 seconds or so, which is kind of weird if you ask me.

Can't say I've experienced this. After becoming exhausted from running I've been able to rest up by walking.

Did you adjust your 'fat' slider to the fitter side? 

If you don't adjust your fat slider, you'll have to spend a fair bit of time walking until your guy is fit. ;)

I've found it depends on whats in your hands also. Walking around with a weapon out exhausts you quickly.

Yes i was walking. Double tapping shift changes default movement speed as most of you probably know. I tried both with weapons in hands and on the back, seemed to be the same.
