I was killed by a guy with the greatest hacks ever.

So with all the constant complaints about hackers, and ninja magic teleporters, and fighting X Men, I figured I would share my story:

 

Picture this:

 

In Berezino, I am making my way from the train station up towards the Hospital before heading out west towards the Stary's when I heard Mosin fire coming from the buildings south of Tank Square.  I made my away around and finally pinpointed the source.  There was a player shooting the construction site from the two story green building near the southern water fountain.  As I approached, I drew my .357 (I had that and a B29 - I had just given my M4 to a guy at the lumber yard) and moved to the corner.  Suddenly a man with an M4 magically passed through the wall above me, walking on the air about twenty feet out, then teleported back through the wall.  I immediate knew I was dealing with evil hackers.  But I wasn't afraid, as long as I was careful, their sky walking, wall clipping, teleporting magic would be undone by magnum fury.

 

I raced through the front door and hid beneath the stairs.  I waited patiently until the M4 player raced down the stairs and out the door.  I ran out and aimed, firing six rounds into his back.  He completely ignored them.  I was obviously dealing with the Anti-bullet hack.

 

I turned and raced up to the second floor, speed loading the magnum as I ran.  As I came into the upstairs room, I found a geared mosin player in the corner.  At close range, I dumped six rounds into him.  With a flash, he vanished, appeared to my left, fired and broke my leg.  I rolled into the hall, drew my B29, and fired both shots as he came out, but his hacks made him immune.  He finished me.

 

So unfair.  Such powerful hacks are game breaking.

yesterday i had to fire 7 SKS round on a guy for him to lay down on the ground and i was'nt far. All shot touched him for sure. IMO this is lag caused.

Well I am sure lag can cause issues that appear to be hacks however yesterday me and a friend of mine along with others on the server were killed multiple times by a BLATANT, TELEPORTING hacker.  He even would annoyingly taunt and laugh at us through direct comm. while teleporting to us and hacking us with his axe (pun intended.)  Happened to me twice, my friend twice and a guy I met on Berenzino coast said he was just killed by a guy that came out of nowhere with a fireaxe.  If people want to say its all lag that cause such things to happen they might as well be saying this game is so broke (whether alpha or not) that its engine and coding will NEVER allow it to become what people hope it will.

I can't say I've ever experienced lag or desync anything close to this in combat. Never encountered hackers/cheaters either but I've seen some videos that are certainly proof of their existence. But I get where you're coming from, people jump to conclusions too fast..

Hi OP.

 

I'm guessing your DayZ experience started with the stand alone. If you would have had to deal with the cheats in the mod, you probably wouldn't be so quick to dismiss everything.

 

Guys would join a server, spawn an as50 or whatever loadout they preferred, then teleport to any player on the map and kill them. They would teleport other players to them and kill them. They would drive around in a bus picking up bambis with the promise of free loot, then teleport the bus to an airfield and kill them. Then there were the ones that weren't actually able to hit a moving target, so after emptying a clip, they would press a button in their cheat menu to break their legs, then kill them. lol.

 

Maybe you see a pattern forming here. So yea some people won't be so quick to dismiss things to lag in this game. That said, I'm yet to experience any cheating in the SA. Maybe I'm lucky, or maybe the cheaters prefer 3PP servers.

Just few hours ago, i emptied all 10 sks bullets (from 2 meters away, flat ground, no obstacles nearby) into the guys back and he just turned around and killed me. Lag?

Think real hard about what a hacker could potentially do with your gaming experience. Then think about what that does to the entertainment of the players that fall victim of hacking..

Shouting and screaming that someone is a hacker when he/she wins the firefight is another extreme, but if hacking is obviously involved I think it's perfectly okay to complain about it.

stop calling lag to people who dont die after eating bullets , turns around and kill u. they are not lagging they are cheating,

if u lag so hard and u cant get killed , u cant kill other people cause u are lagging hard. get it ?.

 

when the desync hits me , i cant loot, i cant pull out my gun, i cant open doors or close them, i cant see my mates moving arround my nothing at all. After 1 minute or more i get a huge roleback,

T'is the internet, always gonna be some nerdy lil bastard with way too much time on his hands...  you'll never get rid of it from online games, but in 150 hours of play in SA I haven't seen anything that is suspicious or out of place.   Some just need to feel better about their death, so scream 'hax0r'...

I think I was quite out of sync. When I am seeing people float through the sky, it pretty much seals it.

Hacks are the easy excuse.

I've played with friends who have walked outside the wall in the upstairs of houses just warp back inside.  To them nothing happened.  and no, they aren't hacking, it's just lag and desync.

Just to add, I have seen said hackers that teleport or move around the map incredibly fast. They exist, it's not all lag.
