TheJakesGameplay 0 Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) So i was in the airport (or whatever you called it) and i got into one building to find some loots. I know it's dangerous in the airport but it has some good loots. Then i found a M4A1 i think, but i must switch my mosin for that gun. Then i accidently switched the gun and 1 guy that has pretty good gear come to my room. I scared and i immediatly exit the game. Am i combat logging? The guy didn't shoot before i exit. I hope i did not combat logging. EDIT: I just checked this day and my character still lives, LOL. I think that guy ignored me. Gerandar 212 Posted February 15, 2014 didnt combat log persay but you left your character sitting there defenseless for 30 or so seconds, good luck with that
TD808 71 Posted February 15, 2014 Yes I would class this as combat logging, you logged out to avoid combat. Problem you have here is this would not save you anyway, your character stays in the game for 30 seconds after you log out. If the guy was going to kill you, you will more than likely be dead next time you log in anyway. You should be careful posting stuff like this on the forum, unless you are just trolling, as people go mental in the head over this issue. I see this is your first post and that you are new to the game, so I hope the people that post after me try to cut you a little slack.

kobeandodom 23 Posted February 15, 2014 seems like you did, is that really a bad thing? i don't see why, kudos to you for not getting killed by people who are doing nothing but running around murdering people and totally ignoring the zombie survival part of the game. Nocturnal (DayZ) 85 Posted February 15, 2014 Have you checked if your character is still alive?
[frl]myke 68 Posted February 15, 2014 No combat, no combat log. Easy as that. And don't take those "yes, you have combat logged and should burn in hell" whiners too serious. Ususally just KoS'ers that whine that they might have lost a kill. Q.Q
schmotto 32 Posted February 15, 2014 It's hard to believe this sin't a troll post, but on the off chance it isn't.Yes, you combat logged. however you will have lost your life, so take it as a lesson and remember to remain calm and either fight or talk next time. Korsbaek 1778 Posted February 15, 2014 It wasn't literally combat logging, but it was still a very douchey act.

Ususally just KoS'ers that whine that they might have lost a kill. Q.Q No combat because you log out too quickly to get killed? Serious pro-logic you have there. Also, KOS'ers aren't the only people who want to kill Combat Loggers. Combat Logging, even though coined "Combat Logging" is not just logging while you are in combat.. It's also logging any time you see another player or feel as though your life is in danger. Found a fresh spawn on the coast the other day, and wanted to give him an SKS and some food/water.. He didn't respond to me saying "friendly", and instead walked into a building and sat down, logging out of the server.. So I shot him in his stupid fucking head because the point of the game is player interaction and if every time a player attempts to interact with you (combat or otherwise), you log out, then you are defeating the fucking purpose of the game and should go suck on a tailpipe because you're a waste of fucking space. How difficult is that to understand?
soulfirez 901 Posted February 15, 2014 id call that a combat log why because he did it to avoid combat was he in a fight no but he logged so he didnt have to face the person who found him. It was a pre emptive COMBAT LOG.. but thats just IMHO. why do people play if there going to log the moment any interaction might happen hell the guy could have been friendly or more likely he would have blown ya brains out ( tell us when you log back in did he kill you im no KOSer but i would have shot your sitting avatar seeing i knew you logged straight out hope for you he was nicer...
