Epi Pen Did not revive friend

 My friend got knocked out in a gun fight and I was able to run and find him laying there...I grabbed the Epi Pen from his bag and gave it to him successfully...but he did not wake up, it still said he was unconscious. It took me probably 7-8 minutes to run to the town and find him...is there a time limit? or did I just do something wrong. This was the first time I've had to use one.

Well the thing is Epi-Pens will only awake someone if they actually have blood in their system.

 

I'll explain

 

You get knocked out if you either experience more shock than you have blood (Epi-pens only reset shock metres) 

 

If you have zero blood but you still have health you will still be alive (Health and blood are two different metres)

 

Give him a Saline/bloodbag then Epi-Pen him and see how it goes

Epi jection followed by hydration and food. Wait. Eventually he will wake up.

 

Alternativelly, check pulse, defib, he awakes, hydrate and food.

 

Epi is not the cure, just a measure to buy time to act.

Oh ok thanks man...I bandaged him but I did not give him saline or blood (we had none) I guess we'll have to test it out next time haha

A good trick if you have a blood bag (current build) is to take your unconscious friends blood and give it back to him. Always wakes them up for me.

 

Won't work on experimental or next build likely, Rocket stated that 0 blood will now equal death as well.

Don't know what to tell you.

 

Saved two guys the way I described. Bandage, Epi, IV and food and drink.

 

Myself been saved by epi + food/water/IV once and by defib use once.

 

Given the chance we never let anyone slip into respawn hell.

Your friend is below 500 blood, he will be uncioncious until you get some blood into him. Force feed him an entire bag of rive and a canteen so he starts healing or use a saline bag or blood bag.
