Food poisoning woes

I made the great decision of eating some rotten fruit so I could respawn and die, since I had broken my legs. One minute later, I found morphine. :cripes:

 

To cure my food poisoning I went to a pump and got over-stuffed, then vomited as you do. Not only did the 'sick' message disappear, but the symptom popups disappeared too. I thought I was safe.

 

Instead, I kept losing blood, and now I get red 'I feel faint' messages despite being energized and hydrated.

 

Does anyone know what i need to do to fix this?

Did you eat/rehydrate after vomiting?

If yes then it seems it did not cure you

Also this.  When you vomit you pretty much empty your water and food levels.  Need to replenish ASAP.

Also this.  When you vomit you pretty much empty your water and food levels.  Need to replenish ASAP.

I ate a ton of food and it says both 'energized' and 'hydrated'. I'm not a moron. This seems like buggy behavior.

The 'sick' message and the notifications are gone, though. Charcoal tablets would just make me vomit again.

Characoal tablets do not make you vomit, and they shouldn't.

Why you believe the opposite? Those would kill the sickness. They should be made of active carbon.

Anyway yes, according to your description it seems that some of the status bars are not working properly...

Oh! I believed that because that's what I had read they do. I've never tried using them myself.

Charcoal tablets will cure you right up if you're still seeing the notifications. I don't remember anyone vomiting from them. It would only give the sick notification for a while, then cure up the poisoning.

After faffing about for a while, the sick status notification very suddenly reappeared, in a disconcerting rust-colored tone.

 

I guess from this we can conclude vomiting from overconsumption of water doesn't actually cure this shit. Oh well.. time to grind for charcoal tabs.

I was sick and all I had was lots of water and charcoal tablets, munching on them and drinking a lot seemed to remove my sickness. Took quite some time but it worked.

Okay, so after eating a bunch of antibiotics, which did not appear to work (did not see any notifications post-eating whatsoever), I binged on food as I found it, to try to keep myself alive long enough to find charcoal tabs.

 

After eating a bunch and drinking soda, I got the 'healing' status, and the sick message disappeared. I'm now healthy, and appear to be fine.

Hey i'm sure i read that this is fixed in some patchnotes... So you won't get sick from charcoal tabs anymore when you take them if you're not sick...

I try to find it in the patches...

Just so you know, antibiotics don't seem to work at first. You'll get the "not well" message for some time after taking them. It's only a little while later they show the positive effect.

I thought Merino already confirmed that "vomiting to rid self of sickness" was a myth? In fact you're worse off if you do.

I actually couldnt find charcoal tablets when I accidently ate rotten fruit and over stuffing and making myself vomit did cure me.
