vegeth11 0 Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) I notice that this game recently is more like Call of Duty, Ghost recon and similar!I agree with bandits that kills to survive, but i hate to be killed from sniper that do this just for fun. This totally ruin the spirit of this game.I suggest to make this game a real survivor simulator instead of a war game. Thanks and sorry for my bad english! IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted February 12, 2014 I agree with bandits that kills to survive Bandits kill to survive? Since when? Every bandit I've seen has had ammo, food, and water coming out of their ears. There's no real way to fix banditry or people who kill 'for teh lulz', other than turning PVP off entirely (as in players cannot harm/kill another player, no mater how many times they shoot or stab them in the head). Hethwill_Khan 233 Posted February 12, 2014 OP, you can play the Survival game without big risks. Map is quite big and there are many hidden treasures in the mountains, up the north sectors, and damn, you can play a week without crossing anyone's path. Good luck out there.
SirStriped 19 Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) Only way to get rid of KoSers is if it was a bannable offence that would have to have happened 3 times in the same month. Sometimes you KoS people because there is gun fire about and you're just trying to leave the area without dieing. Even this system would be flawed and I personally wouldnt want it on the public hive... Just wait till private hives are allowed after release.... in a year or two..... I know it sucks. Bandits are fine what ever. KoSers different story. Used to combat log on people that KoSed but can't do that anymore. Before someone replies oh that ruins the game for other players. I did it only on KoSers and really stupid bandit that would say just kill himn in direct chat. KoSers don't deserve kills. Nothing more rewarding than hunting them down. For example, yesterday, one KoS in a undisclosed location... I volunteered to die ( did die twice ) so we could flush him out. He got shot once, didn't die and tried to make a run for it downstairs. Tough luck, our third man was already inside. He died like a coward. Jumped off the rooftop. soulfirez 901 Posted February 12, 2014 I am not big on KOS but hey they add to the tension of the game so in a way and its strange to say but they add immersion to it..... I always play carefull and trust is hard to come by id never want KOS or banditry to go away i do hope the devs with more natural game mechanics ( along the same lines of destroying loot that gets shot) will reduce it a touch give us more to do that requires others... No need in my OPINION to add gamey ones like bandit identification etc. Bandits are here to stay its how you deal with the game that will make it fun or a rage fest for you..... Caboose187 (DayZ) 3036 Posted February 12, 2014 Once they add more survival elements don't expect the kos mentality to stop. In fact, it may increase the kos. Item respawn will also most likely increase kos so said players can camp and farm their favorite looting area

Where's the difference in killing to survive and killing for fun? Other than justifications - the outcome is the same and to be perfectly honest "for fun" is more a valid reason than "to survive" (unless "to survive" means that the person being killed has actively been proven to be a threat - otherwise it's just assumptions based on paranoia). I'm sorry to say 'alpha' but really, more features will be added and while PK (for whatever reason you might have) will still exist (it may even increase), it will fill a vacuum for people who do not engage in the FFA PvP DM (thus making it seem like it's actually not only a war game). Crafting, hunting, building, fishing, cooking and so on and so forth. Not being killed by players is part of the survival though. With that said, it still sucks to be killed for what appears to be no apparent reason (although keep in mind that you have no idea what that other person is thinking and thus you can't be aware of his or her motives regarding this action). But you'll be up and running in no time. Edited February 12, 2014 by LeChat

NOT FOR FUN! Edited February 12, 2014 by vegeth11
pillock 850 Posted February 12, 2014 When they introduce cannibalism, then killing to survive will have much more merit. People are easier to shoot than rabbits.
