Maybe more G36 but full auto? :P  Or sport semi-automatic. 

 

I know how much ammo is in the world but how many of this is in Chernarus (not in closed bases underground), first end ammo after this, food.  In first day apocalipse humans take and lose more ammo and weapons than carry food and medicines.   If something still is, it wll be very very rare.  Situation when somebody have 3x 60round mags, and full other ammo is ridiculus. 1x half mag, should be happy day.

No its not, in first day/months 4/5 of ammunition will gone... why?   Because all f... humans will shot, tons of ammo day by day... and no one will make new, sometimes shoter die before shot's 30 times from his M4 and you will find his gun whit 5 bullets.    In WWII Germans lose all ammo when invades Poland and need one year to make new... to invade France. Just use logic.

Nope. The standard calibers used by Poland were 9mm Parabellum and 7.92x57, which was also the german's standard.

And by that logic - every army stopped every year to make more ammo? In the next five years, only 2 and a half were fighting?

They stopped for like 8 months to prepair for a much larger operation. Although you may find this hard to imagine, there more to invading a country than just driving tanks into it.

 

And running out of bullets? Fuck no. Theres alot  more 7.62x39 than humans.

I have the solution to the whole argument. Throw a gun store in every significant town and a couple of black market basements in the larger cities and call it a day. You can justify any gun spawn between the two and just adjust the spawn rate according to relative rarity.

Yes. I'm hopeing ammo won't spawn in magazines, and it will spawn in boxes, like other types. Will fix this problem

I don't believe there are G36 sporters? I'm talking about full-autos, anyway. I don't think it should be added either, but neither should a Ak-12 or An-94.

 

That makes a lot of sense as it isn't good practice to store magazines fully loaded, messes up the springs.

No its not because full boxes ewrywhere like now is nonsens.  One box on all aircraft, 10 bullets max... you should find more weapons than ammo.  Its survival not FPS, here you sholud craft ammo (blackpowder guns, etc, i write abaut in other topic), and think abaut any shot but not like ,,ok i go to police station and find new box whit 20 rounds". 

 

Who trow away full mags?  If you find only 5 bullets you load 5 bullets... to mag.

Sure, any gun. I can't think of any gun (with the exception of say collector guns) that you wouldn't be able to find legally from a gun store or illegally from an arms dealer.

Maybe, but with the current damage values it can take 10 M4 shots to kill a player, assuming the M4 is within 5m, to actaully hit them.

Besides - it would take years for ammo counts to get that low.

Now it is point of them... why you must kill this player?  Why?   Better to make deal whit him, play as team.   If you not find ammo trow away gun and use bow, crosbow... evrything must be balanced. Now all players go for mosin, jump 3 times and back to coast to kiling eachothers.

 

 

Years yes... but look at abanoned houses... rusty cars.  Its see like apocalipse start years earlier.

An-94, AK-12, VSS, Ots-33, AA-12, AS50, ACR, XM8, PKP, M98B, Fn2000, MG36, Glock 18, ect.

Then theres the fact that this isn't Hollywood, so...

G36 (In any large quantities), L85 (See G36) M249 (Although def minimi) M21, AS val, ect.

 

What you will find are:

G3, FAL, M16A1/2/3/4, M4/A1, PKM, FN MAG, MG3, Sterlings, Brens,  Vz.58s, older AKs, APS, vast amounts of AKMs, Makarovs, SKSs, Mosin-Nagants, mausers, Lee-Enfields, Tokarevs, M1911s, and some rarer models like M3s, Pps/ppsh, DPs, MG42s, and a few heavy weapons like RPGs, DShKs and M79s.

How do i know? This is what actaully turns up irl.

 

And civilian stuff - we can't just have American rifles that don't fit (Winchesters, Colt revolvers, ect) but a few Remington 700s, M1911s, Rugers, Glocks, Berettas, and various shotguns would fit in. There would be alot of TOZ-18s, Makarovs, CZ rifles and pistols, Molot-Bekas, Saigas, and "Sporternized" AKs aswell.

 

Just becuase it could be bought from a shop, doesn't mean it would actually be there.

By years, i mean a decade.

If it started to long ago, there wouldn't be any zombies or people alive, since they all were killed kr starved.

There wouldn't be anything at all in houses, either.

And your character would have something more than a flashlight to, right?

I suspect the reason they made everything look neglected was becuase it looked "Creepier", or "Cooler"

And chernarus wasn't exactly Mr.clean land when it was inhabited, either.

 

The game probably takes place a year after Day Zero, which is plenty of time for burned-out cars to rust and walls to get dirty.

I think you missed the whole point. The point was, if you do spawns at these points, weighted for more expected weaponry, but with rare chances at more exotic weaponry, it is plenty realistic. The point isn't that these places would have "everything" sitting around. The point is that they spawn something and there is a small chance it might be something that you wouldn't normally find around in houses, police stations, or military bases.

Its totaly true, but where is Norinco, where Bajkal, where is Turkish guns   :)    And Mausers still very popular in europe.

Models of guns should be a lot (ok anather M4 team, Mosin sniper squad), but chance to find something (and ammo for this) not.    5% to spawn gun, and next 5% to find ammo, but not 60 rounds but 5/10.

I don't see it being worth adding just to have some extremely rare gun, as it would just be server-hopped, and another place to get a million military weapons. The shop, though, is a good idea.

Agreed. Some guns with rare ammo are definitely needed. But i don't see them doing that becuase they want to keep guns using interchangeable ammo to save on loot spawns.

Mauser is on its way, to. :D

I don't see it being worth adding just to have some extremely rare gun, as it would just be server-hopped, and another place to get a million military weapons. The shop, though, is a good idea.

 

Server hopping is another problem entirely and I think one that will get solved. Personally, I think just putting in no spawn zones would do the trick, just meaning, that if you try to spawn in near a designated area, it shoves you outside a particular radius so you can't just hop-loot-hop-loot. Also fixes ghosting and having people spawn into rooms you've already swept.

 

As for the "million military weapons", I wouldn't suggest that the black market or arms deal locations have only military loot. I'd suggest they become the hotspot for all generally unusual weapons, including civilian US weapons, so that you may get something cool there, but not some crazy fully automatic weapon. Not to mention, some weapons you may find there, but you probably won't find many magazines around the world for them. So you'll most likely be running with just the magazine you find with it, making it a bit of a pain in combat.

I think more various weapons and ammo  will stop jumping (+ 10min time blokade to change server), when to find 5 bullet somebody need 5h jumping :P   It means, ,,wow i found weapon!  WTF@!!!  I fund ammo to this weapon i win milion in lottery ''.   To rare military weapons just add NATO base, CFOR or something  (and other base to other countries NATO and other staff inside) xd 

 

 

You want have Dubble-Barrel and some chance to find ammo in city or Colt M4 ultra scope, whit 5% spawn 20 bullets on all map i various localization.

Considering the US is the largest exporter of arms, not sure why you'd think it wouldn't make sense. If the game took place in the US, I would expect every type of weapon to be around. The Mosin and the semi-auto AK are prevalent as heck around here. As are Glocks, Barettas, SKS and Makarovs.

 

Do keep in mind though, I do like the idea of spawns being weighted towards the local fare of weapons. Whether realistic or not, I prefer the feel of having generally Russian and Eastern European weapons as the most common. I just don't think they need to be the only weapons.

When zombies wos harder and will more than now.  Player's will must cooperate to find more ammo more food.  Shoting and stupid pvp on resp will be canceled.   Ammo as a money, crafting bows and bullets to black powder guns, searching rare ammo to military weapons etc.  This is survival/scavenge not FPS  (weapon for hunting and selfdefense of zombies not killing players)  :)   Ok Bandits will be bt they will harder life and game will better balanced.    

 

Now only sense of game is killing others... in future will be a survive, and fighting for food, defense. Weapon's will be less important than now. (or more ;)  )

Because we don't export all of our gun models. Mainly just shotguns because in most countries other weapons are illegal. A 30-30 or 30-60 are Pure 'Murican, becuase that ammo isn't even available in stores in most countries.

And they game doesn't take place in US, so that loint is invalid. If they game were to take place in Britain, then we would only have a few hunting rifles and mil weapons.

But this is Chernarus, which is in Russia's ass, so Eastern weapons will rule there, along with what you said - Berretas, glocks, a few colt models, Remingtons, ect.

Btw, by Winchesters and Colt revolvers, i meant Lever-actions and Anacondas, not every Winchester firearm in existence.

Sorry to say ammo will never be that rare. It will be rarer, but not enough to stop KoS. It will just get people to work together, then stab each other in the back.

 

I don't mean to be rude here, as it's obvious English isn't your first language but it's quite hard to understand what you are trying to get across. Could you try to be a bit more clear?
