Coming soon (?)! The hunt for Cobra Commander (server event).

Although this guy ( http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/171141-if-you-like-dying-come-to-cherno/ ) is, in all likely hood, a troll, he has at least given me an idea.

 

Tomorrow afternoon, I have a sneaking suspicion that Cobra Commander (my name in game), leader of the  infamous COBRA terrorist group, may be spotted in the vicinity of some big city, probably Berezino.

 

He will probably have a radio, tuned to a certain frequency, calling for help from Destro because he is lost (everyone knows Cobra Commander is incompetent. He probably read the map wrong). He will, of course, be armed to the teeth, and dangerous (but still incompetent as a leader). Any "Joes" in the vicinity might want to hunt him down and deal a crippling blow to the COBRA organization by cutting off the head of the snake, as it were.

 

In addition, anyone able to successfully bring him down without damaging his equipment will find, at minimum (in addition to anything else I manage to find till then), the following items:

 

SKS w/clip and ammo

Sawed off w/ ammo

Magnum w/ speed loader and ammo

FNx45 w/ flashlight, magazine, and ammo

Fire Axe, pristine

TTsKO clothes, pristine

Gas Mask, pristine

Backpack, mountain type

Ammo can w/ assorted ammo types

storage box w/ food

 

And a few other assorted items (again, in addition to whatever I manage to find till then).

 

Keep an eye on the forums tomorrow afternoon (roughly 2pm, US eastern standard time), and I will let you know when the event starts, or if it is delayed for whatever reason (in game death, RL concerns, etc.). At that time, I will also let you know what server, and what frequency to tune your radios to. Cobra Commander is lost, and it is all Destro's fault for giving him a map written entirely in Russian Cyrillic. It will, no doubt result in some interesting and funny conversations.

 

Of course, those able to stream and record are more than welcome. My cobra commander impression is QUITE good. Your fans will undoubtedly find it entertaining.

 

EDIT:

This will, undoubtedly, be a recurring event. After all, EVERYONE knows that Cobra Commander is ALWAYS defeated, only to return later to try again....

 

PS: Bring radios.

 

PSS: Radios will make things much more interesting, if you can manage to bring one

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I didn't steal JACK SQUAT from you, bro. Ive been using that name for weeks. Even changed my steam name to "Cobracommander", because in game, I use my voice impression of the 1980's JI Joe CC, which I am actually really good at. It had nothing whatsoever to do with you and your "Kool" way of spelling it. Ive never even seen you in the player list in game.

 

So, kindly stop raining on my parade. Im trying to project positivity here. Promote an event in game, because im bored of running around all day, and hunting isn't really doing it for me right now. sadly, I don't have any kind of recording software, but will probably get fraps or something in the future when I have money to do so, since I DO plan to make this a recurring event.

No, it will be tomorrow afternoon, roughly around 2pm US eastern standard time, regardless of how many people are available to join me. If I end up alone, so be it.

 

For now, I'm off to gear up a bit more and prepare, eventually move to somewhere in berez. If I don't die in game, or if something IRL doesn't come up (such as dying IRL), ill post a new thread here in general titled something along the lines of "Transmission from cobra commander detected in berez" or something.

 

Again, I highly encourage any streamers, recorders, frappers (ewww), etc. come along and do their thing. Ill try to prolong the event for as long as possible to keep it interesting. 

 

So, tune in tomorrow, at 2pm, Eastern Standard time for the first episode of "Hunt for Cobra Commander". And remember kids, be sure to bring your walkie talkies!  

 

EDIT:

Just occurred to me. "Tomorrow" is technically TODAY. its 1:30 am where I am. so in about 10 1/2 hours, give or take.
