Lee enfield ( do you want to see it in game?)

nae, to much like common sense for the devs, the would rather put cowboy hats in, wouldn't be surprised if you got the boots as well in the next patch.

Nah Lee-Enfield was only introduced in the first place because it was the only non-scoped bolt-action rifle available in ARMA.

 

It fits Takistan, not Chernarus. Takistan is based on Afghanistan which is beside Pakistan. Pakistan was part of India, and India was ruled by the British. The Indian Army had millions of men all armed with Lee-Enfields. India themselves produced their own Enfields until 1975. Lee-Enfields are still very very common in India. Pakistan, being a part of India until 1947, also had a substantial amount of Lee-Enfields. Pakistan beside Afghanistan = Lee-Enfields in Afghanistan. Takistan based on Afghanistan = Lee-Enfields in Takistan.

 

 

 

 

 

This being a standalone game with everything created from scratch? There are many choices which would be much more suitable.

Any mauser would be more appropriate then the enfield. It always felt a bit out of place in the mod.

I agree with Weedmasta on this one. The Mosin seems close enough to the Lee. 

 

I'm not saying I don't like those weapons. I'd love to see the winchester make it in, but I do like the new ideas coming out. They seem to serve somewhat similar purposes to the mod weapons.

And on topic, although the Lee-Enfield is not the worst choice for bolt-action rifle, there are much more authentic and realistic choices. I'd rather see them do a hunting rifle (CZ, Steyr, etc.) before they do another bolt-action WW2 rifle (Best being a K-98K). 

 

But let's not worry about guns, let's worry about improvised weapons and unconventional ones like crossbows, compound & crafted bows, flare guns and other unorthodox weaponry.

 

(I do support them working on more guns at the same time, though)

The Winchester 1866 from the Mod is, without a doubt, my favorite weapon. Its slugs allowed it perform at the range of an assault rifle (minus the rate of fire), it had the stopping power to win a fight at medium-short range, and there were 1866 slugs EVERYWHERE! Even after the patches when everyone kept crying the spawn rates were too low.

Never like the 1866 but it was good if you were in a pinch and nothing else was around.... really miss my m9 tho most of the time was the only gun I carried....the fnx just isn't the same for me.... would like to see more pistol/self defense weapons. The reason I don't want to see LMG's is that they are way too overcomplicated for an average person to use proficiently.
