I was in school, top floor. He was on the roof beside the doorway, he heard me run up here. I used third person mode to detect him, saw him standing there with gun in arms. He started moving.. I peeked outside into the hallway shot him 10 times with my m4. Looted his body and took his pristine T3N RDS scope, perfect since I was using iron sights.

 

I'm really glad he wasn't able to combat log. Makes every fight that much more intense.

 

I bet he's sooooo pissed he can't server hop to gear up a new character right away. He lost everything. GG

it's not like i did it on purpose, i was in third person mode and the game is alpha so the camera see's through walls and stuff and i noticed him. i didn't even know he was on the roof before i got into that room. maybe when dean decides to fix it you all can come back to regular servers.

Heh no disrespect to you, but it just remind me why I only play on 1PP servers. Hate to lose all my gear because someone is peering over a wall in 3PP while not reveiling themselves.

 

I also find the hardcore server experience much more intense.

And I HAVE to play on hardcore servers (and I'm so glad that they are available), because no matter how hard I promise myself not to switch to 3rd person - I do it if I can. Even if I don't like it...

And after some time you don't want to miss the 1st person - immersion ftw ;)

there was a fight cause he knew i was there before i knew he was there. He was already aiming his gun in my direction and I came out when he tried to move positions, he even fired his gun but never hit me and 0.5 seconds after he fired i had killed him.

I play both.. When I get too geared on 3PP or my friends log off, I go play 1PP.

If you're on a reg server then you're just putting yourself at a disadvantage by not using third-person view. It's more or less essential because everyone else is doing it.
