igotrage 47 Posted February 4, 2014 Wandering the coast yesterday and encountered a new spawn. I called out to him telling him I had food and water and placed a tin of tuna and a bottle full of water down for the guy. He repayed my generosity by trying to punch my face in. Needless to say he ended up sucking mosin. Don't see why people feel the need to be so ungrateful for help in this post apocalyptic world.
The Aquatic Land Walrus 565 Posted February 4, 2014 He was one of those losers who realize they have nothing to lose, so take a 1/1000 chance to try and steal gear from those who help them.
Sinphaltimus 262 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) Because most of the time in this game, new spawn equals very pissed off dude who just lost all of his gear because he was on the wrong side of a KoS encounter.Case and point-http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/170427-losers-gonna-lose/ Edited February 4, 2014 by Sinphaltimus
Macdeth 176 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) stay away from the coast unless you are actively seeking pvp encounters and don't come running to the forums, cheeks still moist with the confused tears of an idiot to bitch about how stupid you've been. igotrage 47 Posted February 4, 2014 Who cares how the dude died or why he just spawned. There was food and water available to him and he chose to ignore that and get himself shot. At the time I encountered him he was no doubt thirsty and hungry.

GpB311 236 Posted February 4, 2014 Bandits die and respawn like the rest of us or, as said above, it was just someone mad about dying. I feel like I have nothing to lose after respawning, but that just means Im not afraid to actually talk to people like I am when I have something worth trying to take. the_daddy2009 15 Posted February 4, 2014 People are dicks.
dayy 173 Posted February 5, 2014 Gotta remember, without KOSing dicks, what would us coastal patrols do? I'm not taking my five good men, and sitting in a sad little home, with our type of numbers, we can actually help, without worry.
ProvokeMe 12 Posted February 5, 2014 No matter how you try to play... bandit or hero... I would never approach another player without my weapon drawn and ready. As much as I don't want to play the bandit KOS route its about survival... MINE. Take a jab at me and you'll get an axe between the eyes. Then I'll pick up the food and water I was going to gift to you and offer it to someone else.
herrjon 478 Posted February 5, 2014 Because you let him see you first. He saw you and though "I could have the tuna, water, AND all of that guy's gear" and made a go for the K.O. punch to the face. If it works he's set, if not, he's pretty much where he was at. The trick is to keep your distance or to remain hidden until you can get them to sit down for the approach. If I get spotted by someone whom I'm trying to help, I just bolt it out of there since I've lost all control of the situation. I don't carry guns btw. No matter how you try to play... bandit or hero... I would never approach another player without my weapon drawn and ready. As much as I don't want to play the bandit KOS route its about survival... MINE. Take a jab at me and you'll get an axe between the eyes. Then I'll pick up the food and water I was going to gift to you and offer it to someone else. That's all well and good, but be prepared to kill loads of people making a go at you because they think you're holding them up rather than trying to help them. There's also the fact that fist sprinting is the fastest movement speed by far, so be ready to either shoot immediately or die.
