How fast should my internet be?

So i'm making a new computer

-I5 3.1GHz

-GTX 660

-8Gb Ram

 I have really bad internet where I live. I have 1.5mbps down, maybe 0.3 up and about 50ping. I can play Xbox games online without a  sweat but I don't know how DayZ will run so here I am asking everyone, how will I do? Thanks for replies, please no "You suck, I have 999999999999mbps down, haha loser!"

Your connection is fine, same as mine.

Do note however, that you are very vulnerable to intentional desync caused by players carrying ammo boxes and other such containers with "corrupted loot" inside them.

Search the forums if you're really interested, i made a pretty long post about it some short time ago.

 

This will all get better over time, as they work on and optimize item coding.

For now, you just have to learn to shrug at weird deaths a little more than most other people.

But if someone with corrupted loot inside a container within another container gets within visual range of you, you are instantly desynced to 10000 and it takes an extreme toll on the low bandwidth connections at the moment.

 

Basically, you will be walking around, scouting and looting etc.

And you wouldnt see anyone or anything.

Zombies wont chase you, loot wont pickup when you press E, etc.

 

And all of a sudden you will get blackscreen and dead.

 

 

Basically you get desynced and you dont get to see what happens around you.

If you don't share the internet with anyone and the connection is stable it will be fine for you. Even if you ping 100 -150 that is completely playable as long as the connection is stable which with people that have that speed its 50/50 if it will be stable or not.

 

It is nice of him to let you try it out for yourself, that is the only way to get an accurate answer for you. GL hope it works for you.
