DropBearChick 1217 Posted February 3, 2014 Of course it runs fine you have great laptop, optimization will come wen game is done
terminal_boy 860 Posted February 3, 2014 Optimisation is not going to make the SA run at 60 FPS on High on a £/$/€500 laptop or a 2007 desktop.
PiLLZ 55 Posted February 3, 2014 i have a ROG this game runs perfectly with max settings up
Good Greef 29 Posted February 3, 2014 Why doesn't anybody post their VRAM? Like I'm going to go look up the card specs. SMH.
BaitedHook 24 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) i play on a i7 4770mq , 16gb ddr3 and a gtx780m get around 45+ on high @1080p on anywhere but cherno... (in cherno i get like15 fps...) also i find that ssd in this game is pretty pointless since most of the time you are waiting for server to feed you info and this is coming from a person with raid 0 ssds Edited February 4, 2014 by BaitedHook

Without those ssd's you would probably be getting a lot of lod popping. I wouldn't expect ssd's to provide much along the lines of fps improvements in games, just faster loading times. koba09 1 Posted March 12, 2014 Hi guysNow it is game is better playing very better. Now can play in DayZ
warriortyr 17 Posted March 12, 2014 I run it on 800€ Laptop and it's only playable at very low settings.Feel free to watch my video about my specs and running DayZ here: You can see that at the moment the difference between my nVidia GT740M @ 2 GB VRAM and integrated intel HD 4600 is less than 10 fps... nuggit 246 Posted March 13, 2014 Koba, dayz was and is never being optimised for "laptops". There will come a time when the devs do some optimising in general, for all users. We are still in very early alpha, so I wouldn't expect it for awhile yet. Dean did mention, they will be starting with Nvidia optimisation, then will move on to the AMD optimisation. I firmly believe there is quite some room for optimisation, regardless of the system you play on. We will all benefit to some degree, just some users might see more benefits than others. Just don't expect to maintain a 60+ steady fps on a laptop with maxed settings. :)
deebz1234 243 Posted March 13, 2014 lol @ op. optimized for laptops...
nuggit 246 Posted March 13, 2014 lol @ op. optimized for laptops... Be nice Deebz! No need to make fun of Koba, he is clearly new to this and is none the wiser as to how the Arma series runs. If everyone in this community makes fun of the newcomers, they are going to have a hard time and more than likely, not participate and learn. Even when information is at all our fingertips, a nudge in the right direction is all that is needed. It benefits not just to the op, but to the community as well.
DemonGroover 8836 Posted March 13, 2014 Optimisations, when they happen will occur for all, not just a laptop. DayZ and Arma generally depend on the CPU rather than a great GPU. I have had 2 laptops - the first good GPU, average CPU - 20 FPS averageCurrent laptop - average GPU, good CPU - 40 FS average
PiLLZ 55 Posted March 13, 2014 I have no clue what you guys talking about, my laptop runs this game at max with no drops in fps and i dont have no stinkin ssd, and it only keeps improving since they are doing small optimisations, so yeah, laptop or PC it all works well if its a beast machine. TomatoSupra 207 Posted March 13, 2014 I have an SSD. The Game boot time went from like 30 seconds, to 5 seconds. Not much in the the ways of FPS improvement though.

blissandpanic 92 Posted March 13, 2014 I have a i3-370M4 GGB DDR3 memory (know its weak) But it works with lowest settings but i hope it gets better with optimization.
rickenbacker 190 Posted March 13, 2014 How do you "optimize for laptop"? It'll be optimized for a range of graphics cards and CPUs, but specifically for laptops... I don't think that's going to happen.
