Are zombies supposed to clip through walls?

Am I the only one experiencing this or zombies are atm at a very low level of existence? They ignore collision, behave weird when you climb ladders (unable to ascend any kind of ladder themselves), and sometimes differ wildly in perception (seeing you from 500 meters, or not noticing you until you shove an axe in their skull)? And they are quite scarce to be honest, I never would consider them a threat as they go down in 1 axe swing..

since the develpoers wanted to not disapoint the people who used to play the mod 
zombies are still able to walk through walls
so, YES, Zombies are supposed to walk through walls
^^
