earplugs should be added into the game as something you can find

 

also if you shoot a loud enough gun without them your ears should ring a little bit

 

wearing earplugs would reduce noise slightly as well

I you've shot a mosin or similar you'd know your ears would ring for more then a little bit. active ear cups would be something I'd support being added, they allow low DB noise but cancel high DB noise.

This seems like it'd be a major disadvantage. 

You can't hear shit when you put them on. 

 

Why would you waste the time to put them on to shoot?

 

Why pick them up if you know this puts you at a prime disadvantage?

My ears were always fine when firing my m44. Standing next to a guy firing is a whole 'nother story though.

This idea sounds really nice actually. They really need to make the guns really loud as possible.
