Easy Fix to make the morphine/broken bones more real.

The notion that a broken limb can be fixed by taking morphine is, of course ridiculous, but the idea of morphine aiding a person trying to ignore a less serious injury is a great one.

 

Change the "broken bone" text to "sprained ankle", and it all works in a much more realistic  fashion with no need for changing any real programing.

Then what happens when you break your leg?

You'd have to sling it for 2 weeks. Then your doctor tells you you need a cast . You choose black color with dinosaurs , mom loves it . After ~ 2 months irl time you upgrade to walking cast and after this process rage quit dayz.

But seriously that's probly why he (rocket) chose to use morphine healing broken legs, instead of splints . Although to improve realism we could have craftable/medical splints , they would take lets say 30 mins of real time of Hobbling around with the leg splint on to finally heal your bone to the point of walking normally again. so to avoid annoyance after you apply the splint you can walk at 35% speed then after 30 mins your character takes the splint off again and is finally healed , maybe the morphine could help you to run faster when you have a broken splinted leg ?

I think my idea is a very logical, simple solution for a problem that makes the game seem ridiculous. And the solution for broken limbs is to not have them, because that would be a certain death sentence anyways. So, change breaks t sprains, and the game is much more realistic feeling.

I tried to come up with a logical argument against your suggestion. I don't think there really is one. Could just be bias because I think this just sounds more proper.
