More gore

Recommended Posts

Hello zombie slayers,

I, personally don't think that the game is gory enough. And also the environment doesn't seem like it has been overrun by zombies. Why not add a little blood here and there? A severed arm?

Check out this diagram I made.

See?

Thanks for reading!

Can't disagree it's possible because there are meat models for animals like chicken pieces of meat and such but you can't slash of a players or zombie arms because of the engine.

I'm pretty sure they are planning on making the gore and zombie apocalypseness way more prevalent in the patches way down the road . They might do this dead last though unfortunately , cuz I love the look of the walking dead and their zombies and always wanted those to be implemented in the game but because of the zombie lore set up in dayz , they technically aren't undead so they wouldn't look very decayed , but who says they cant be bloody right ? As for scenery I would love to see more body piles , maybe some on fire or some decaying buildings with overgrowth of weeds all over it .. But these changes will happen in time I'm sure they are just trying to work out architecture and server problems while at the same time adding small stuff like new weapons and items

Gore would be so satisfying as a sniper!

Im all for it as long as it's done right.

Not over the top, the more subtle the better,

and then every once in a while you get a decapitation or a head shot that takes half of they're head away.

I would like the real gory shit to be very rare and very well done.

Most os the time it wouldn't be that gory, unless your using an axe or a chainsaw, of course.

Can't argue with a man who has made a diagram, but you're right...more physical evidence of the outbreak...maybe dead survivors (not players) as props, blood splashes on walls, burning cars, big traces of blood stains and such :)

Gore could be a tool too.  Man behind wooden wall.  I shoot though wooden wall.  Blood sprays on wall behind wooden wall.  I know I hit something.

Zombies without gore...is not a zombie game, its like the World War Z movie, disney zombies. I really dont care about the gory enviroment, i want combat gore....chopping limps with the axe, pink mist spray from headshots, crawling zombies with cut off legs, etc. I think The Last of Us has the best gore you can find in a game right now. I just hope they will add gore eventually.

Beans for diagram.

There should be more gore in the game. No so much mortal kombat style pwnage but more environmental gore. A good example of this is L4D franchies if you just look at the props in the levels.

This would take a very long time to do however. Games like L4D have small corridor based levels which are easier to get the details right unlike a 225sq km map.

ugh Mortal Kombat ?

Fallout 3 with bloody mess.

Walking round a metro station and finding random eyeballs from raiders you shot a few minutes ago, then taking the armour from their body off the eyeball.

Also decorating your home with mutilated limbs.

Lets not go overboard.  I don't want moral kombat gore.  I want the gore to be a tool.  Someone with a mangled arm or leg would tell you they are wounded.  Scars and scratches let you know they were in a fight recently.  I want it to be realistic, not just "lol his leg blew off for no reason" gore.  Also I think adding more gore to the houses and things would be nice.  More sighs that there was actually a outbreak.

As I pointed out above it could work like this.

Man hiding in bush near some a tree.  I fire some rounds into bush.  Tree behind bush gets blood sprayed on it.  Hit confirmed.  He may still be alive but I know i hit him at least.
