gaweu 42 Posted February 4, 2014 As a friendly medic, I never shoot unless I am shot upon and absolutely HAVE to return fire. Here are my tips for survival:Before entering a town/city, take a few minutes to observe the town from a high vantage point. See if you spot movement or hear any shots fired then make the decision if you want to take the risk. Usually players who shoot zombies tend to be trigger happy with players as well. If the area has popular sniper spots, approach them from behind and clear the spot before you consider entering the town. This is what bandits does! You cant be trusted! :D
KingOfTime 267 Posted February 4, 2014 I'm talking about organized firefights, not ganking people. They're easily organized and fun as hell.Whats the point of organizing a firefight? The fun of DayZ is in its organic, spontaneous, random encounters. CS,BF3, and cod are organised firefights. Perhaps you would have more fun playing one of those 3 games?

Perhaps you would have more fun playing one of those 3 games? Tbh I play as a bandit when I have my friends online and as a "hero" when solo and I agree. The ONLY reason that being a bandit is fun is because of the random things that can happen. Though its pointless (to me) to play this game if it was just for pvp as it is not worth the regearing time compared to games that have a instant load out. *edit* Id play hero all the time as for me thats more fun but my mates dont like that play style. I find it pointless to murder a bunch of people with no need for gear or anything. However I think he meant a spontaneous fight with another geared team. I dont think he meant setting a fight up. Not sure though. Edited February 4, 2014 by Mopa

faramon 66 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) My friends character died yesterday, it was the first character he made like about 6 weeks ago as well ... he died when we were running along the hillside on the coast between Kamyshovo and Solnichy (Bad spelling wooo ....) .. he clipped a little straight drop bit on the hill got dragged down and then lodged between the hill and a tree before finally being pulled up tree and being catapulted off into oblivion. .. the exact same patch did this to me the day before ... we just don't learn xDDDDDD (of my death there should be a video i will put up when my friend uploads it). So tl;dr .... the map and servers themselves are hostile to you ... ;___; Edited February 4, 2014 by faramon

I have barely touched them before and been flung off 300km to splat. Needless to say I steer clear of those fuckers.

LaughingJack (DayZ) 767 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) I get when people don't read every single post in a thread they are responding to, even if I don't like it, because in 99% somebody else will have already said what you are going to say.But not even reading the OP of a thread you are responding to is....amazing lazy. But a brainless zombie is a brainless zombie, what did I expect? At least you read the title... Here, just for you, so you dont hurt your soft finegrs while clicking the mean mouse and seach for the first post (these are hiding well sometimes) I just wanted to give some tips for people struggling to survive in DayZ [...] I have 250+ hours logged on DayZ, and before you ask: I don't sit in the forest hiding all day....unless I am milking my type o- blood with a friend :P And while I still don't care about the OPs "I survived so long" and "I milk my friend", things like your post are just a prove of bad manners. You don't respond to someone you haven't listen to, neither should you put words in his mouth or insult him for something he hasn't said.
