Do clothes offer armor protection

Recommended Posts

Does wearing a short and pants mean I can take more damage from a gun?  And if so, does wearing a pristine shirt offer more protection than a worn shirt?

yes and no it depends on the clothes you wear the range of the gun and the bullet. I don't think they offer that much of a difference for bullets not to sure though. It does seem to help with zombies hitting you giving you a better chance at not bleeding. I would think that yes it depends on the quality of the clothes a pristine bullet proof vest is better than a worn or damaged one.

I dare say there would not be any real difference at all for standard clothing.

Until you start acquiring equipment like webbing that has gear init then a bullet strikes it. A backpack on full of stuff(s) being shot from behind would have a different effect on you also

Press vest reduces some damage from bullets to the chest. Anti-Stab vest reduces melee damage. Ballistic helmet reduces bullet damage to head. So some armor pieces do reduce damage.

Two times already I got one shot from 500 meters with a mosin because my check shirt and jeans were ruined, tac vest was pristine tho. When I had all the said items pristine, I started bleeding, didn't die instantly. I was crawling on the elektro hospital roof, got killed from the sniper hill. Couldn't have been headshot twice, one shot one kill.

personally, i think the helmet is all BS. i was always wearing one and usually died in 1 to 2 shots. i didnt feel it did anything.
