Last night I was sneaking around in Electro trying to locate where the M4 shots coming from. My gear was only a loaded Mosin and 15 spare bullets.

 

So, suddenly a freshie comes out of nowhere punches and then runs away. Needless to mention that walls wasn't a problem for him.

 

After a couple of minutes a guy with a fireaxe appears and teams up with the speedhacker, I managed to down the fireaxe guy but meanwhile I was getting punched by the other one. Consequently I ran out bullets and my only option was to axe him down.

 

Not a single hit I've dealt on him.

 

I know that cheating like any other form of crime will always be a step ahead from the law enforcers. What I don't get is this ridiculous, blatant hackers are fucking people's game without worries.

 

The only thing DayZ had to brag about was the absence of hackers. Now it's falling apart. No wonder why Rust grows bigger.

I've seen one hacker in my 100+ hours played. Someone jumping threw walls isn't necessarily hacking, the game is very glitchy. Hell i do it sometimes just because its hilarious, follow random guy, when he finally sees you just start jumping threw a house or something and making him go crazy, doesn't always work because it's just a glitch and only randomly works, but its still funny. I've never used it to kill someone/avoid being killed, but yea its just a glitch exploit, not really a hack.

Hackers that I've run into = 0.  

 

Exploiters I've run into = too many to count.

 

What you probably experienced is lag and desync problems.

 

My only gripe right now is players who are exploiting any and all bugs that are in DayZ but hey, it's Alpha, and I'm a grown man so I can deal with it until they fix the issues because this game rocks.

Dont kid yourselves, there are most certainly hacks out there. Teleport hacks, loot hacks, esp/wallhacks, aimbots...Oh yes they are. Not so prevalent as to blame every desync death on them, but still- they do exist.

Kind of hard to put Rust and DayZ on the same field. I like being able to find my bearings in DayZ (never thought I'd say that) while in Rust, I like building shit. Oh, and hunting.

 

They just seem to different to me.

 

Where was I again? I thought this thread was about not combat logging and being brave. I've stuck to my guns plenty of times on my stream. It would have been funny for my viewers to see me hop out of combat, but I just stick through it.

 

Consequently, I die at the end of each of my streams. But as the great philosopher Aristotle once wrote, "YOLO." Am I right guys?

 

Oh! Small P.S. I'm giving out a copy of DayZ and Rust this weekend. Won't pimp out the stream too much here, but it starts at 6;00PM EST. Hope to play with you guys. ;)

Folks will play the hack card at every opportunity. Most percieved hacks in many games are not hacks at all but glitchs, bugs and sync issues.

 

There will be hackers for as long as there is software and an internet to hack. Best anyone can hope for is a well designed engine with good detection to mitigate the damage. Sometimes i want to smack the whiners more than the hackers.
