Pve Servers : Not So Pve...

Recommended Posts

Hi,

since I quite new to the game; about 20hours of game,

I try to play on "pve only" servers.

This way I can travel the country and loot in peace :)

But, when I meet others, there are not so friendly as the server's name...

So wtf ? What's the point ?

I'll not argue for the game should be PVE or not.
Just, I hope there should be "only pve" servers for those who want it.

- Twice killed by an axe after spawn

- Last time a badass with baseball bat hit me... So I axed the crazy -_-'

Servers cannot enforce PvE, and cannot punish in engaging in PvE, it's against their contract for renting the servers. Also, a lot of players make it a point to join those PvE servers and kill players because of that. So the point really is there is not PvE servers, it cannot be enforced and you shouldn't join a server based on that false advesrtisement.

The point is to survive.

This game is not split into PvP and PvE, it's not that kind of game. Other players are part of the environment.

And while some people might name a server 'PvE-server', there is really no such animal.

I know PVE can't be forced...
But I expected more friendly attitude in there :(

By the way, most exciting game I have been playing ! :)

A "PvE only" server is a PvP server with a misleading name.

Ignore PvE servers, the closest you can get to ´´friendly servers´´ is hardcore, where all the periscope snipers and corner ninjas don't dare to play. You'll get a lot more actual bandits instead, and some KoS too ofcourse.

It's just a server name.

You'll have to wait for private servers.  But unless they add a lot more than currently what's in the standalone, you'll quickly get bored with PVE.

PvE servers are actually against the rules. PvP is the spice of this game. Yeah, it's sometimes frustrating, but you learn from situations. Best way to experience co-op is to play with an actual friend.

but yeah, the game is awesome :)

Never trust anyone in DayZ... even the people who name the servers.

Play hardcore. Encounters are usually friendlier, or you don't even realize someone saw you and let you go.

Sound becomes SO much more important when you can't see around corners.

Although I did KOS a guy with a shot to the back. I needed his food.
