Certain Hardcore Servers Loading My Regular Character?

As the title details, when I connect to certain Hardcore servers, my Regular character is loaded. Why is this? Is it a known bug?

As far as I know, Hardcore server means, First Person Shooter only, and regular lets you choose 1st or 3rd person.

I just don't want it to bugger up either of my characters. It only happens on certain servers, though. I just immediately log off and connect to a different server. As of right now I'm properly connected.

This is correct, but does not answer the question even slightly. Did you read the post?

 

I don't know what's going on with this, but I've noticed it too. No idea. When it happens, I just leave and look for another server. I've also noticed one or two that seem to load fresh spawns every time, as though they aren't even connected to the hive.

It must definately be some sort of bug as they should be on seperate parts of the hive i would be carefull of which servers you join i have found a couple that have a habbit of deleting you characters.

 

Definately shouldnt get your regular character on hardcore id play a regular server to lock in your regular character ( i am assuming you will wish to keep him to play on regular. Then try to find a hardcore server which starts you at default and play that hopefully it should have both saved then.

 

PS make note of the servers that are hardcore that have loaded your regular character so people can avoid them losing there hardcore character lol.....

This just happened to me twice.  I was hoping to play Hardcore, because I just died yesterday and I was looking forward to starting over.  My regular char is super greedy and loaded to the teeth, carries an M4 in his hands Mosin on his back, and a magnum and fnx45 in his pack.  I do not want to kill my regular character off just yet, but I also do not really feel like being bored trying to find more attachments and ammo for a gun that I will rarely use.  I was hoping for answers, but from the looks of it no one else knows either.

 

I would play the guy on Hardcore and probably get him killed, if I knew that would not mess him up on Regular servers too.

Could it be that some server was changed recently to HC from Regular and still reads some regular database character entries  ?

This almost always happens to me if I log into a 30 man hardcore server, also was happening last night in 40 man ATL servers, kinda sucks becasue last night I had great ping to the Atlanta servers but i was afraid playing on one wold wipe one of my characters.
