Quick Question . Is Combat Logging fixed meanwhile?

Recommended Posts

Do you people think that combat logging will ever be fixed?

How does this should work? How do you want to force someone to stay in game?

Not yet but, yes it will be fixed, it was (to a degree) in the mod.

For speculating on how to fix it, id go to one of the thousands of threads about it ;)

The best way to fix combat logging?

Master these wrist movements. They will enable you to snipe someone's face before they can awkwardly ALT + F4. ;3

Fanboys demand something like  a 30min countdown from the moment someone presses quit.

I honestly can't see any viable resolution prevent combat logging. The only type of games having quit punishment are the competitive ones and since DayZ is a casual game there's not much devs can do about it.

They have a fix for combat logging but they won't turn it on until they are sure the server's can handle it.. I recently started a thread about Combat Logging, Ghosting, and Server Hopping where someone gave me the info about what Rocket said about the combat logging..

Can you provide me the link to that threat, since I'm a bit lazy to search for it.  :P

Thank you in advance.

Exactly, I can still hit alt+f4 or the power button on my computer if I really want to leave.

30 min? Or 30 sec?

30 min is a joke. How do I server hop then? Oh wait ! 30 min would fix both, combat log and server hop.

Lets make it 60 min so I can have a nap while waiting..

But with a countdown timer, no matter how you leave the game your character stays in game. Good luck with that idea.

Thirty minutes? I've never seen that suggested. I've seen thirty seconds, which is more than fair. Combat logging is a problem. It will be fixed. The thirty second timer is, in my opinion, the most viable fix.

Please do that. While you're standing there for thirty seconds after running away like a little girl, I'll take much pleasure in beating your face in with my fists.

A logoff timer is the only way to combat ghosting and combat logging. Or you could change the whole system of one persistant character per hive, to one character per server you log onto.
