Sh4nkapotamous 2 Posted January 24, 2014 The title really says it all, but here's the rest of it. I don't know if anyone has already thought of this either so let me know if someone did. I also don't know if this is going to be received well, but hey whatever. Just a quick suggestion to Dean Hall, the other creators of Dayz, and to the fans. I was wondering if ever getting something like tying or linking your blood type after the first time that you spawn to your account. i.e. (Steam account) I think like adding something like this is very minimal, but also something that could make the game a little more realistic. Switching blood types every single time after respawning is kinda time consuming and stupid, but that's just my opinion. If you and your friend who also plays were fortunate enough to get the same blood type then you could always help each other, but it goes both ways so if you were unlucky and didn't get the same then you would always have to find help from another player. I think that this just something small that adds more realism to the game. Tell me what you think everyone and hopefully an idea of mine could make it into the game.

doviszxc 194 Posted January 24, 2014 Well that wouldn't be fair/fun since you would just know your blood type at all times and it would just ruin the "find a guy with the same bloodtype" idea. "...Switching blood types every single time after respawning is kinda time consuming and stupid..." Well a new life is a new life, and a new character IS a new life.
Element47 2481 Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) i dont have much to say. i just think it is a really, really good idea. its an excellent idea. it would let you 'connect' more to your virtual avatar. edit: aaaah. right. there is that thing that you would always know your blood type and thus have no use for blood testing kits except once. damn. well, beans for effort though :P Edited January 24, 2014 by e47
Guest Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) imho too easy and i don't see where it adds more realism. if you respawn IRL, you probably also get thrown into a new body, with a new bloodtype. collect your own blood asap...this game is about dying and finding ways to survive and not having a friend who can give u a iv-line everytime u need it. Hosty 647 Posted February 6, 2014 It's a good idea since not knowing your blood type every time makes blood bags useless.
supermarco 64 Posted February 6, 2014 Bad idea, too unfair for player who are universal receiver or donator.. Since its a game and every time you die you have a new character, so new blood type. Its only up to you to not die stupidly and you will keep your blood type, like real life I must say :)..
frosti 2165 Posted February 6, 2014 So everyone will just make new steam accounts until they get the blood type that is most usefull for them (AB or 0 ).
Mos1ey 6301 Posted February 6, 2014 So everyone will just make new steam accounts until they get the blood type that is most usefull for them (AB or 0 ). You'd have to buy the game again every time. That sounds expensive...
DMentMan 707 Posted February 6, 2014 i would want that, but its not like that..
dallas 5195 Posted February 6, 2014 Wont happen, would conflict with the persistent nature of DayZ. Since saline has been fixed/nerfed, blood is more valuable. And knowing your blood type is therefor also more valuable.Which makes your current, but fragile life more valuable.
