he is going to thank you for one of the most commonly known weapon locations and with current spawns one that is heavily looted usually and even worse often watched by bandits.

 

Move inland find towns where all the doors seem closed and the zeds are still alive you can um thank me later...

This.  It's so simple to tell if you're in a place that hasn't been ransacked, loot is a stupid word and should stay in WoW, because if it has, doors are open and there is no zombies.  If you see zombies and closed doors, you will most likely find gear to get you going.

Look for Zombies. They know where the pristine loot is. Never fails.
