What ever you do, Don't mix DayZ files with Arma 3...

Putting DAYZ into A3 is very naughty indeed.

That video cracked me up. :D Well - you all know what you shouldn't do ---> Don't explore the map in ARMA, do it properly in DayZ.

Until they give us video makers a cinematic option, this is the only way :(

That looked beautiful, Hope that character is in the next patch!

 

 

Regarding using Dayz in another BI Engine, 

it looks better in take on Helicopters, since its a modification of that engine

And when you run the map in another engine, sweet Jesus there's a large FPS drop, Chenarus+ Really isn't performance friendly, Would have been a nightmare to make it semi-reasonable to how it is in Dayz for performance

Tried it in arma 2.

It worked.

 

Although there may have been a lack of trees, rocks, buildings, roads...

Works good for me in Arma 3. Lok why is it naughty to use editor to play around. There is no clear warning against this
