The lack off loot is not right ???

I particularly dislike the decrease in bag spawns. I've seen equipped players leave their bags in a secure area, go and take empty bags and leave them in the woods. Making sure that the bag can not be found. I can handle KOS, but this... I know for a fact is turning people away from the game. I cant help but fell this in particular, encourages server hopping.

There were a lot of the north/eastern areas that didn't have much loot before this patch, now that they reduced loot in the military areas people are complaining. It sounds like people don't want to explore new areas. 

 

Last night I got military pants, shotgun, mosin, sniper scope, mountain backpack some ammo...no prob. 

 

Re-read the whole topic again please. I'm not talking about reduced loot. I'm talking about loot not even spawning, even after a restart. Also, I'm not complaining, I'm providing feedback as you said in the posts before. Just stating my opinion  ;)

The loot in the military camp by Balota seem to be broken.  I thought it must have been emptied by every one just after the servers came up after the patch.  But the server I was on rebooted when I was by the camp, so I went back into the same server to see if the kit had re spawned to find all the tents still devoid of items.  Did some server hopping after that to find that every military camp  had nothing there. On the plus side all the house spawns seem to be the same as far as I can tell.

Just been through Polana and Gorka and managed to scrounge up 2 cans of soda, a tin of tuna and an apple.

Unless someone had been through before hand and closed every single door after them then 'food' loot is very scarce.

 

Did find 3 bags and about 10 items of clothing though so my 'dayz: dress-up simulator' is still working fine..

I want an hardcore survival game, I like it the way it is "now", but the loot is not spawning, simple as that. And I'm providing feedback. I do this often for the simple fact if someone is following me I will notice it and I will know what houses/areas I have hit in a fresh area. +1 beans for you good sir.

Remember this is an ALPHA. The loot tables will change a fair bit over time and military loot will drop super low because its more base on what you would find yes loot on guns will be low, it will have bows and throwing weapons. But the loot tables will dip on grow with all the little changes to try and make the whole map important not just the coast. They will find a better balance as time goes on. Happy surviving (this could help you as a player and make you look for different ways to look at things not just your m4 and mosian) but its still early ALPHA so good luck

I was honestly tired of knowing what exact buildings to loot since good loot was spawning in specific locations. People would just hit certain spots, there wasn't this sense of having to actually explore. Instead we'd go to a certain group of buildings and expect there to be good loot. This is what made server hopping so effective.

 

If the loot is thrown out there randomly with a higher chance of certain loot at specific locations, people would have to actually go out and search different locations. It would slow down server hopping and actually put loot hoarders at risk while leaving their preferred spot.

I strongly suspect that SOME servers are dropping a flag or step somehow in start up that leaves no loot. I'm sure it will get sorted out.

Might be possible, some people are saying it's alright. Have you personally checked military tents? That's where most of us can agree that no loot spawns at all.

I actually like this idea, more randomization could be a great thing. I'm guessing it's probably not easy to make it balanced in some way though, no idea. I personally like it.

Maybe they've decreased loot spawns? I've also been finding a ton of stuff in places like Solnichniy that look looted, and people simply miss it.

 That is what i am seeing as well. Spawned at Elektro with every building open and walked out with a, mosin and bullets, Capn crunch, pipsi, backpack, med kit and some clothing with more slots. That was enough to get me up to Dolina via Kamyshovo and Sol..and then onto Polana were i was axed a question.

 

 Maybe it is server issues ? Don't know.

I wondered the same thing, i went down spawned right at balota. Went to search everything, nothing there. All i found was an orange and an empty waterbottle. Then i checked a complete empty server. Took a while to get it, checked balota, the airfield, everything. All doors were closed and unsearched. very few loot if none found.

 

Something caused this patch to be completely empty when it comes to loot, i searched for 1 hour and all i found was an orange, a pair of sneakers, a bottle and an armature for an M16... ON AN EMPTY SERVER THAT HAD A FRESH RESTART...
