Attachment system for upcoming weapons and interoperability

I suspect this is probably underway but i'll ask anyway.

 

Now the Devs have done the hard work with the M4 and its attachment system going forward will we, for example see a  custom stock, RIS handguard / upper reciever for the AK74?

 

This would allow all rail mounted attachments to be interchangable between weapons as long as they have a compatible RIS mounting point. In the context of the AK74 RIS attachments could act as an alternative or even compliment its original reciever side optic mount which would take the standard Kobra, PSO family.

Yep, the idea was to use the M4 and attachments as a template. Once done other guns can use the same methodology and be rolled out much quicker and hopefully, bug free.

Some Russian guy posted a picture of the AK-74 model "in the white" (bad Russian guy, bad Russian guy). Anyways, it had the handguards and stock already attached to it, no magazine.

 

They use proxies for the attachments and the magazines, they can't alter the actual models in-game, so I don't expect to see any different handguards or stocks. Side rail mounted optics, yes.

lol @ BlackLabel       As funny as that sounds in basic that's exactly what we did. Ducktape wrapped around our MILES gear. Too funny

If anyone has solid information on the attachments that will most likely be/confirmed for the AK, or any other of the new weapons in-fact, please let me know :)
