Spray-paint question

Question about Spray-paint.

 

1. What Colors are there? BONUS: Are there any other combinations like how Green + Black = Camo

 

2. Can you paint backpacks? 

 

3. Can you paint ALL Guns or just the Mosin?

 

4. Can you paint Anything other then guns? Clothes, Melee weapons, etc?

 

 

 

 

I think it would be legit if you could make "Face-paint" like camo face-paint or warpaint kinda deal.

 

Also painting backpacks would be nice to have, as well as clothes so you could kind of have a clan image going on if your in one.

 

 

 

 

 

I tried the Beta but couldn't find ANYTHING everything was looted, and I didn't feel like walking 3 hours to edge of map to find the same results.

I've only found black and green. Painted my mosin black first, then green, and it came out camo. I think. It was night at the tents at NWAF ... I think it said green. I used it and moved on. I cannot paint anything else. I haven't tried the .357, but did try dragging the paint over everything else I had, and no dice for anything but the mosin, in terms of what I was carrying.

You really should be able to paint more, maybe that is coming. I'd love to be able to make the fireaxe a little less obvious.

Edit: there is an associated bug, BTW, when painting the mosin. If it has attachments, they disappear. If they don't fix that before it goes to public, just remove the attachments beforehand.

I'm sure they'll do both. The question (in my mind) is whether the attachments disappearing when painted will be fixed before they release this patch to public hive. It's not exactly a game breaker, so I'd think yes, unless it was a simple fix.

Industrial and military, at least. It's not rare. I think I found some paint in residential, too, but I'm not 100% sure.

2. Doubtful, but I do want a black backpack.

3. Afaik, just the Mosin.

4. Doubtful, although I do want to paint my fireman's axe black. In fact, I want all my gear to be black.

 

I doubt they will allow face painting, especially with spray paint. I know plenty of military guys and one showed me a quick and easy way to make face paint. All you need is a lighter (matches will do) and a mirror. You put the flame to the mirror and it makes it black in that area. Swab with finger and apply liberally. Shit works, I've done it.

 

I don't like the idea of putting a clan image on anything. Its too wonky and not realistic.

 

What makes DayZ awesome is realism and to deviate from that takes away from what makes this "game" special.

Like not an "image" but colors.

 

Say your colors for your clan where blue/Yellow, you could paint your gun/clothes blue and yellow so your team mates knew you where with em etc.

 

Cause atm there is no way to know if it's a teammate or a random person dressed the same.
