I've been playing for 120 hrs or so now and im aware of most bugs.... but im fucking livid, i know its an alpha but so fuck i wanna vent my frustrations to anyone that will listen :)

 

I maxed my loadout (fully pristine M4  AOCG etc..., clothes, ammo box maxed out, magnum , medical box, saline , own blood etc.... basically i was chuffed to bits to have my loadout and my character at 'healthy' 

 

i go to close a door, and the door doesnt move, i then walk into the room try to close it from within... there's no white arrorw action pointer anymore... wtf im thinking then..... YOUR DEAD.

 

my mate was literally 3ft away said my body disappeared off screen it wasnt downstairs or anywhere to be seen. Then i got a battleye message 'client not responding' or some shit.

 

i ran back to my mate who held out incase my body respawned but nah, as my mate confimed it was no where to be found.

 

if my PC crashed i expect to have my character there and loadout, it seem this is all battleeyes fault. ffs.

Ugh huh....well start over again. We all do. Also bodies disappear pretty fast though, so you probably wouldn't have made it.

Early alpha man. It's not meant to played as a "game". It's been released for testing purposes and to report these issues. You even agree to this when you start up the game.

B.E. just kicks you out once your client has stopped responding to the server. Saves you about 30 seconds of 'No message received for xx seconds' - it wasn't BE that actively kicked you. If you were in a building then there's multiple clipping issues, so it's possible your body disappeared through the floor.

I had 2 geared characters killed by zombie on lag, I'm not even mad.

 

In DayZ if you get attached to your gear, you gonna have a bad time.

thanks for clearing that up, clipping death /o\ on a positive note i get to hold down W for another 15 minutes depending on spawn point hmmm :D

i noticed between games recently the servers weren't populating in the usual manner - mental note for self, if this happens, QUIT restart PC and save he gear!

in my experience - unless body's are 'hidden' by a user they generally last long enough to sprint back to.

sounds like you're getting a little too attached to your gear. Your shoes do not define you. Your bean consumption is not representative of how much fun you're having.

FUCK!

 

Same thing happened to me earlier today. Server was acting weird, no icon to open/close door. it appeared once the first time, but opening it did nothing. Zed saw me, ran through wall and tried to hit me. I logged off. Logged back in and it fixed it. Ran to a construction site. was walking down stairs (not running) towards the wall, everything froze. 5 seconds later "you are dead". I was fully kitted too and it really pissed me off.

 

I also notice being randomly frozen for a few seconds to be unfrozen inside of a wall or an entirely different building and have to run+vault out.

 

 

I really do feel your pain here, but this is an alpha man. Just roll the dice again and keep on going. It's going to happen.

I hear your rant. Unluckily you fell victim to the state of the game in its current state. Tellingly, similar incidents as these are still inherit in the mod a year and a half later. Some of these embedded bugs will never be rid of.

 

And again, the 'don't get attached to your gear' is the most ridiculous meme ever started in this type of game. Of course the sheep picked it up and ran with it.

The exact message I try to spread to people in half my posts, This DayZ SA hasn't reached nor is anywhere close to being a "game" its an "alpha" which is in no way the same thing. This post has become a lot of BS but the OP on it says it all.
